> 3 dayWhen it works......it works great, when if forgets your wifi settings (and it does) you can forget it. I have used brother products for years and have mixed results, most products are great. The wired version (cat5 connection) is excellent. Dont waste you time with the QL-810W, dont waste you money.

18-11-2024First one is DOA. It will not print. I had trouble powering it on having to remove the power cable and try again. The only button that shows a response is the power button; not the advance, cut, editor or Wifi buttons. Im working with Amazon to get this lemon replaced and Ill update this after Ive had a chance to use a working printer.

> 3 dayIf you follow the added instructions, the printer is a breeze to set up and use. If you think you know how to do it and you just try to plug and play, youre going to have frustration! It did take a bit of doing at the set up. The labels are easy to switch for different prints (name badges at check in vs File folders, etc.). The wireless set up requires that you know your wireless IP address, so have that ready. Overall, couldnt be happier with this great printer. We use Apple computers and its completely compatible.

> 3 dayI ordered this product to be put in our copy room for everyone to use at work. However, it will not connect to my office wifi. I would have to disconnect from the wifi on my computer and then have to put it onto the wifi the machine is outputting. Tried to get someone on live chat and went over 20 minutes without a response and said I was #1 in line the entire time. Gonna get a DYMO instead.

> 3 dayMostly works very well and easily. The difficult part is the connection from my laptop to the printer. I experience some trouble getting it to connect properly sometimes. Other than that, once it prints, it prints well and prints quickly. Love the easy cut feature on it. The installing was also quick and easy.

> 3 daythe supporting software is a bit complicated, especially how to work with templates, etc ... however, once you set up everything, this is an amazing device. But is it true it takes a little bit to setup ... and the customer support is crap (ok, i asked some programming questions)

Greater than one weekWhile it has some appealing features compared to competitors, this thing is a joke. I first ordered a refurbished unit, along with a separate li-ion battery pack. Installing the li-on battery is a terrible user experience involving a lot of screws that look just like other screws that shouldnt be touched. The refurbished unit wouldnt ever go to sleep as configured, so the battery would barely last half a day. Returned. Then I ordered a brand new unit, and it was DoA, wouldnt print anything at all. Print heads seemed misaligned maybe. Returned. The enclosure is cheap and flimsy plastic. It has an external power brick as big as some peoples shoes. Its bigger and clunkier than it looks, especially with the battery. It prints great labels (though the Brother software is terrible), and I like the label stock, but after having to return 2 of these, Im not going to waste my time on a third.

> 3 dayThe good news is that it is a very sophisticated machine. The bad news, is that it is a very sophisticated machine. I got this because I often have to make labels and I thought this would be an easy way to do it. Boy was I wrong. The set up takes forever. I mean, why couldnt they make a machine that is SIMPLE to set up? Yes, once you finally figure out how to configure it, it works fine, but why should you have to have a degree in advanced engineering just to use it? Come on guys, make things easier, not harder!
