Bucilla Sugar Plum Fairy Christmas Stocking Felt Applique Kit, 85431 18-Inch

This is a very charming kit. Some of the directions were not very clear in particular The directions for the hairpiece. The chart detailing stitch type and color were almost impossible to decipher. In spite of these drawbacks I ended up with a darling sock for my grand daughter .

Made this for my nieces daughter. lots of details but it was worth it to know it will become a traditional piece for years to come

Very pretty, but takes awhile, as so many little items, and details. As usual, Bucilla quality.

I have made several stockings for my grandchildren and this one was a big disappointment. I loved the design but the quality of it all made putting it together a lot more difficult. The felt was thin in places that made it difficult to sew. Sometimes just your sewing it would make holes in it. The thread broke several times and that never happened before. The explanations were sketchy and confusing in places. My stocking turned out but I worry that it wont last as long.

Have made this one before. Patterns are easy to match up. Fun to make.

The Bucilla stocking is horrible. Buyer beware! It had to be a factory reject. Sadly, I had done almost half of the front...40 hrs+ of sewing. I noticed the front cuff was slightly crooked at the top with about 1/2 inch difference in the setting of the cuff from the left to the right side. But I thought I could deal with it and adjust it. But, when I cut out the back, it is off at the top from 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches too short. It is totally unusable!! I am so disgusted! And this needed to be done for a Christmas gift. I have taken pictures of the stocking, but cant get it to transfer to this email. Will keep trying, but I want a refund ASAP! And in the future, please let the consumer know that this is a reject item. Not worth the money for sure! Very deceptive practice!!

Its a beautiful stocking, but very labor intensive. I have made many of these and this is the most time consuming.

The photo doesnt do this cute stocking justice. It is much prettier! I added some fluff under the skirt pieces to help keep the shape of the curved design and so it wouldnt crush when packed away. This was a lot of fun but it did take a lot of time (which I have loads of anyway!) The little ornaments were diverse and added a lot of dimension to the design. My little princess will love it. Highly Recommended. Quality Product. Bucilla never disappoints.
