This kit comes with everything you need but takes a long time to assemble for the average person. It is definitely a labor of love.

I havent started on this stocking kit, so not sure how well I will like it when I am able to get around to starting on it, but it is much like the other kits that I have bought and I have really enjoyed working on them. Be prepared for hours of work, but I have done one stocking within 2 months and that was just working on it in the evenings while watching television.l

The final product is magnificent; however, this project is not for a novice and requires MANY hours of work. It is important to follow instructions and order of work as written. I recommend fully lining the stocking (easy to do), so the inner stitches are not snagged. I did add additional bling to it and replaced the tree beads with something brighter. No question, this one is a labor of love, with the emphasis on labor. This is the fifth stocking like this that I have made and was by far the most challenging.

Prepare to work your fingers to the bone with this beautiful stocking. It has amazing details, tons of sequence, and oodles of embroidery to do, but the end effect is lovely. As my five year old said when she first saw it Oooh pretty... Sparkles!!! This was only my second needlepoint project, and it found it fairly simple, if a bit painstaking. If you are like me and new to this, make sure you cross out the directions as you go so you dont loose your place. Be sure you give yourself plenty of time to complete this stocking, I barely finished it in time after working on it for about a month. My only complaints about this stocking is that the green stocking itself felt a bit thin, and I kept running out of supplies. I didnt have near enough little red beads, green thread, pink thread, or tan thread, and often I found myself on the last inch of floss in that color. I may embroider strangely however I would have appreciated a little bit more floss and beads in the supplies.

I have made several stockings for my grandchildren and this one was a big disappointment. I loved the design but the quality of it all made putting it together a lot more difficult. The felt was thin in places that made it difficult to sew. Sometimes just your sewing it would make holes in it. The thread broke several times and that never happened before. The explanations were sketchy and confusing in places. My stocking turned out but I worry that it wont last as long.

Love all the Bucilla stockings! This is my 3rd one this year! They have excellent instructions and are generous with the supplies.

This was my first time ever making one of these stockings and I fell in love w/ this new hobby. You have to love working with your hands and you have to be very patient. This stocking had about 130 steps and working on it daily, an average of 5 hours a day, it took me about 5 weeks to complete.
