> 3 dayIt was easy to install, fit perfectly. Hopefully it will hold up and last longer than the magnesium one it replaced. Time will tell.

Greater than one weekI have not yet installed. Will install in a couple months. Hard to rate. The products self destructs like its designed to do. Thats its only purpose- to keep the steel water tank from being eaten away.

> 3 dayWater Heater anode rod needs to be replaced every six months if using your RV regularly. A fellow RVer advised me of this. I had never replaced the anode and when I did it was more or less completely disintegrated. Replacing it every six months will prolong the life of your water heater and your soft water filter will stay cleaner longer too.

> 3 dayBought this thinking I needed to replace my anode rod because its routine water heater maintenance I see happening all the time but have never done it myself. Bought this rod, it fits my Atwood water heater great! Then I found out that Atwood tanks do not need anode rods, in fact they can be damaging to the tank! Camco is just trying to make a buck. Supposedly it is magnesium so I will take it back out and use it as a firestarter. If it works, its a good deal. So, two stars.

> 3 dayDon’t get fooled into buying the two packs on Amazon buy this one and it lasts just as long as the two packs I would estimate from my usage. The ones that come in a two packs are cheaper quality. This is the one to get. Just make sure it’s the right size for your trailer. They come in different links sometimes.

25-04-2025I ordered several of these and stocked them so I have them to last for several years. I used my first one for a year so far and it seems to be corroding at the same rate as the original which is good. The threads on this one must be a little shallower as I have had to use a fair bit of plumbers tape to stop the threads from leaking when the water is hot. Other than that, it is just fine.
