Great fit for the RV Atwood heater. Only thing I did not like is the instructions state to only use a small amount of torque to tighten on, so I used my torque wrench and at the recommended level (with Teflon tape) I had a drip. I had to really snug it down to stop the drip. Other than that, works just fine.

I ordered several of these and stocked them so I have them to last for several years. I used my first one for a year so far and it seems to be corroding at the same rate as the original which is good. The threads on this one must be a little shallower as I have had to use a fair bit of plumbers tape to stop the threads from leaking when the water is hot. Other than that, it is just fine.

Always used these on my travel trailer and never had a problem with them. I do need to change them every two years because of the water that I have in the area I am in. I found the best price for these here at Amazon and I always keep one on hand.

Hard to say much about an anode, heck, it is an anode. This fits and is the recommended model for my SW10DE. I must be lucky with water sources and I can go as long as 4 years with only about a 50% deterioration rate. When they do get to about 50% I replace the anode. I keep two spares as you never know when you or a buddy or neighbor will need one. There is no O-ring for these. I use sealant paste or tape, depends on what I have in the tool box that is easy to get to. Just make sure you check your thread diameter. Suburban heaters are 3/4 and the Atwoods tend to be 1/2.

This is a good replacement for the used and pitted anode in my water heater.

Was told we would need to replace the one that came with our new to us RV and the store wanted over 2x what this one costs. Would recommend.

Fit just as expected into my surveyor 2018 water heater. I will update if it erodes faster than expected

Ive only had my TT for 6 months. Spent a total of 14 nights in it. I pulled out the factory magnesium anode and it was almost corroded halfway through near the threads and was so full of holes probably a third of the total mass was gone. That says nothing about this product I know. Im just saying check your anode! My understanding is that aluminum is better. I can tell you the threads on this product were clean and well formed and I feel good about getting good long life out of it.

Install was easy. Plastic cap cracked and blew so water heater was leaking. This went in fine but I put it in as I was winterizing my RV. Will know in the spring of 2016 if it actually works when I fill the water system back up.

Great price and Amazon Prime make this a no brainer, the new camping season is about on top of us and just wanted to make sure that my hot water heater was protected. Well know at the end of the season when I pull it out to flush the tank and see how much the rod has taken care of the insides.
