I buy this paper often. I use it for fashion illustrations while using Copic Markers and watercolors. It works great for both! My only issue is that watercolor paint makes this paper wrinkle a tad, but not so much so that I cant continue to paint or draw. I mainly use Copic Markers so this paper works perfectly for that!

This is a nice paper that works well for our needs. Paints blend well, and it holds up to the process. My daughter and I are fairly new to watercolors. We’ve discovered that cheap papers are too hard to work with. We can sometimes be too rough with the paper. This is a good fit for us with a good price point on amazon.

Im a beginner painter so I wasnt looking for anything super fancy. This paper is thick and works great with my watercolors. The pages come out really easy so if you are looking for something bound better this wont do, however it works great for me since I like to rip out the pages anyway. Its also great bc the big pages are easy to cut for smaller paintings and work for larger ones as well.

I am so happy I bought this item. I actually use it for gouache and even sketches. I additionally have used a page for nail polish swatches. It holds up well and it pretty thick. I will definitely rebuy once I run out. I have made great pieces on this and it held up a lot of damage I did with layers. Good product for price.

Great low-priced option for beginners and experimenters. However, this pad I received is no good for traveling and storage as the paper was never sealed to the protective cover (see photos) and arrived dented in one corner. Still usable but disappointing.

This paper works great for the price. I use it all the time to practice on before starting a painting on something that is 100% cotton and much more expensive. Helps me save my pennies.

I purchased 4 of these packs of paper - close to $90.00. The first box arrived and was a large, wet, destroyed box with 1 partial ruined pack of paper in it. I sent back - filed for replacement. Today, all 4 packs of paper arrived in 2 boxes. Each pack was plastic wrapped and both boxes were sealed in plastic. THIS is what I paid so much money for. Thank you - and I will be watching to make sure I am now not charged again.

If youre planning, as I was, to make a watercolor sketchbook with this, its grain short, with the grain running parallel to the 11 inch side. Even so, and even with the glue being on the short edge, this falls apart quite easily, a plus for me because that means no tearing. A minus if you intend to keep the book intact. If you want the best paper out there, go with Arches. If you plan to do the curriculum with Watercolor College, Chris Lyonn, the instructor, has stated if youre in the US, just go get that. I tried this on a lark, and hes not wrong. It cant do the things Arches can, for the techniques in that class. That said, if youre painting with Sarah Cray over at Lets Make Art, this is the exact paper she uses, or at least used to until they released their home brand, and it works perfectly for everything she teaches. The difference? While both embrace the spontaneous nature of watercolor, especially in things like clouds and trees, Chris avoids blooms and the rough, unblended edges they create. Sarah embraces blooms and the visual interest they provide. This paper makes it easier to get, harder to avoid, blooms. Chris works with natural pigment tube and pan based paints from brands like Winsor and Newton and Daniel Smith, favoring the lightfast properties and colors more suited to realistic paintings. Sarah favors dye-based liquid watercolors from brands like Dr. Ph Martins for their brighter colors better suited to illustrative painting. This works better with those dye-based paints, not as well with the tube and pan. So its either perfect or meh, depending on your intention. Additionally, this is popular with the urban sketch crowd because it is a stable, strong paper that can put up with a lot of reworking the under drawing without damage to the paper fibers. If thats what you are looking for, then this is a great choice. Thats my planned use for it, once its in a sketchbook form. That property of ease of reworking makes it ideal for beginners.
