> 3 dayI color for fun, but like to learn new techniques. I have Prismacolor, Faber Castell, Pablo & Luminance. Have been using the Luminance pencils for several months in order to give an honest review. Prismacolor has bright colors, but has a waxy feel when applying and needs to be blended. Due to the wax they are hard on an electric sharpner, so I use a hand sharpner. I like their colors so use them often. The Luminance has a very buttery feel when applying. However, some colors goes on easier than others. The colors are quite limited due to the 76 quantity set, has no pinks and some of the colors are rather odd. After using them for several months, I feel they are not worth the money. Pablos feels just as buttery when applying & are less $. My favorite of all are the Faber Castells. They apply very nicely, blend well and they have a good choice of colors. Actually I use all brands in every picture.

> 3 dayI was not excited about the price but I was at my wits end with prismacolor and decided to go for it. I’ll never go back! No breakages! No waxy buildup when burnishing Only smooth as butter color

Greater than one weekWas very bummed when I opened to find one of my blenders broke into 3 pieces. These pencils are very expensive- and are absolutely packed very very well, so I was very surprised to see that it was broken- other than that- I am satisfied

Greater than one weekBest colored pencils by far and Caran face replaced a defective pencil but make sure you get them from an AUTHORIZED SELLER! Caran Dache warned me of counterfeits - do your research...

> 3 dayWow! I thought that Prismacolor was a creamy pencil to lay colour down. These pencils by Caran Dache are beautiful not only with the intensity of colours that are achieved but such an amazingly smooth creamy experience to use. It did take a little more playing around with them before I could get the true experience from them. Initially I found them hard to blend together and was unsure about the wisdom in my purchase. Since then I have had time to let these pencils work their magic and magical they are. Only wish that they made more than 76 colours but then I would have to buy them.

> 3 dayI first noticed these pencils when I saw beautiful artwork created with them. They just seemed to glow. I saved up and was able to purchase the full set. I had read reviews saying these were as buttery as Prismas...thats not true, they actually feel a bit more like a pastel pencil, to be honest. BUT, with that said, they layer non stop...I havent found the end to it, to be honest. They will layer, and layer and layer. You can blend beautifully with them. They lay color down in full saturation really quickly, so you can finish your pages quicker than with other pencils, at least the ones Ive tried (prismas and polychromos). The look is as expected...pictures just pop with a nice, warm glow.
