Greater than one weekVery Disappointed in these pencils. They were highly recommended. In my opinion, they are overrated for the price. A lot of them are very Scratchy. Overall very disappointed. I know there are a lot of people who would disagree, but for me, I dont like the

Greater than one weekWonderful glowing, subtle colors. Creamy feel as you lay down the color. Pencil tips are a good match for the actual color - this makes usage quite convenient (although I prefer the Faber Castell method of coloring the whole pencil shaft). On the down-side, the names of the colors and the other lettering on the pencil shafts are very hard to read (in fact I have had to add a magnifying glass to my table-top toolbox). The packaging is not as convenient as the other Caran dAche products I own. Only two of the pencil trays lift out, so you have to dip down into the box for one third of the pencils. The trays that do lift out have loops for lifting, but they are very short and clumsy to use. Strangely for such beautiful pencils, the box is made of cardboard, so I wonder how long it will last. The box is well made however, in the sense that it pads the pencils superbly. Happily so, because the pencil box arrived inadequately packed, actually banging around in the shipping box. Wonderful pencils, less wonderful lettering and packaging.

Greater than one weekBest colored pencils by far and Caran face replaced a defective pencil but make sure you get them from an AUTHORIZED SELLER! Caran Dache warned me of counterfeits - do your research...

> 3 dayI liked the blending with these pencils, they are creamy and not subject to wax build up. However, they don’t have the range of color Polychromos and Prismacolor offer. They’re short on green, pink and peach tones and reds. They are expensive. Prismacolor remains my go to pencils. I used these pencils for the drawings above. There wasn’t deep greens in the palette for the iris. The whites and cream tones are bright on toned paper. There is a nice range of brown tones - see rabbit and dog.

Greater than one weekI got the wooden box set of these I couldn’t find them on here when I searched but I just wanted to review the pencils,I’ve wanted them for so long bc I heard they were so good for coloring skin had amazing colors for skin and yes they do!theybare amazing pencils to work w they blend very well and they have a lot of colors for skin and landscapes a lot of och red, browns and colors for skin I do think they should expand their color range like have more pinks, purples, and red but they have an amazing selection of yellows, oranges, the blues, greens and aquas are amazing, also ochre, umbers, browns, and greys are amazing!the pencils themselves are amazing they feel noce holding them in your hand and they are soft but hard at the same time and u don’t have to use them w hard pressure they are very pigmented, the titinum buff is amazing to use w any brand to blend and the white is one of my fav whites for highlighting and things,I searched them all out and out a pic above, also it’s kind of hard to read the number the name is good but the number is hard to see and I like that they come in color order not number order that helps out a lot bc I always have to go threw my pencils when I get them and put them in color order but these came in the color order !

> 3 dayI have several brands of artist quality colored pencils. They each have their own unique features and abilities to lay down color. I first bought the 20 pencil set, then knew I HAD TO HAVE the full 76 set. Love them. They also are the most lightfast of colored pencils, if that matters to you. These Caran d’ Ache Luminance pencils are wonderful if you are interested in a more OPAQUE pencil. There are times in my artwork I prefer an opaque pencil, and times I prefer a more transparent pencil for layering colors. I do love these for their opaqueness and creamy lay down ability.
