> 3 dayJust yesterday installed the Modern Wave 36 x 36 A/C cover on my outside unit. My unit is a SEER 18 and basically measures ~35+ square on top. I was looking for something to keep pine needles, pine flowers, various leaves and oak flowers from getting down into the unit and blocking up the drain holes and just rotting there. It looks like the mesh on this cover will stop the pine needles but may allow a direct vertical hit through - maybe. Time will tell. All the other stuff will be stopped for sure. The cover almost covers the entire almost square grill over the round fan opening. Only about a half an inch of the grill is left exposed but the entire area over the fan itself is fully covered. Just before I installed the cover the unit was turned completely off and I carefully used a shop vac to remove as much stuff from the inside bottom while it was dry. After the install, air flow seems to not be affected much if at all but I have no way to test that with any air speed tester.

> 3 dayWe live in Southern Nevada where the winds can reach 70mph, blowing leaves and sticks everywhere. We got our compressors cleaned last week and decided to cover them. The HVAC technician suggested this as an option. The covers are very well made but time will tell if they can last in the brutal NV Summer sunshine.

Greater than one weekPurchase of this type product was recommended by our A/C Technician to keep Live Oak Tree leaves out of our outdoor A/C compressor Unit. Researched available online products and settled on this one that had good reviews. Product is as described online and arrived as promised. Product was easy to install with included bungee style cords with hooks. Appears to be made of good quality and good quality material.

> 3 dayJust installed this 36 x 36 mesh cover on my day-old Trane XR 16 (37 x 37) condenser unit and the 1-inch difference did not seem to matter as the fan opening is fully covered. My A/C Technician highly suggested I only use a mesh, top only cover as he said it keeps out the leaves and debris, and does not provide the haven for rodents that a full cover would. He also said the mesh would not damage the unit like a solid cover would if accidentally turned on in the Spring without removing. As you can see by the photo this was a Winter install and the frozen-to-the ground leaves are proof a cover is needed for us. Only downside, which did not factor into my ratings at all, was that two of the rubber caps on the bungee cord hooks popped off during the simple install and fell into the frozen leaf abyss below. Ill have to figure a way to replace them .. someday when my fingers thaw. And yes, those leaves will all be cleaned and gone before the Technician comes back to fire it up for the first time and complete all of the testing in the Spring (dont really worry too much about what you readers think, but my wife might be seeing this!)

> 3 dayI like this cover to provide protection from fall debris, while allowing my air conditioner to breathe so that moisture doesn’t remain to cause corrosion. My air conditioner measured 36 inches so I ordered that size. As you can see, it barely covers the top. I should have ordered the next size event though it may be too big.

Greater than one weekFits snuggly, looks nice. We have had falling leaves and small limbs and high winds (40+ mph) and it sustained no damage or movement. Dont know about durability as have only owned it for a month or so.

> 3 dayIt is well constructed. Fits well. Easy to install. Mesh material appears to be made of plastic. Works well. Dont know if it is UV resistant. Very little detail/documentation included.
