I find it totally amazing that a product like this comes with absolutely no instructions. Not even a URL to go to. To be fair, the product seems to work OK, but it may do even more than sound a tone when detecting continuity. I have no way of knowing. Please, a simple one page cheat sheet can’t be too much to ask.

I have a bunch of Coax cable in a bifg distribution box in the wall. Every room of the house is cbled , but not one cable was marked/tagged. This tool allowed me to do the job quickly and easily at a very reasonable price.. I love it.

First, really easy to use. I have a coaxial and ethernet home, with lots of cables. It took only a few minutes to find the correct coaxial cable. Just plugged the pen portion into my cable jack for the TV in my basement, and took the speaker part and connected it to the various cables until I heard the tone. The speaker is threaded to the end of the pen, and just threads into the coaxial cable. When done, I removed the battery, assembled the parts, and placed into a zip lock sandwich bag, figuring it will be awhile before I need to use it again. I like that its compact, and simple.

My house has a bunch of coax cables from various rooms that terminate in a closet. I needed to identify where each went to. I simply attached the sender to an outlet in a room and then checked each cable with the receiver. It worked perfectly. When I found the right cable it emitted. beep. It worked perfectly and is reasonably priced.

I had to jostle the battery to get a tone but then it was rock solid. Used it to trace cables to connect TV to attic antenna. I would have not found it without this extremely helpful, inexpensive tool!
