Please resend review after Covid-19 is over have not been able to test it fully for been laid off since Covid -19 arrived in Georgia.

Tracer works great! Everything included to figure out which cable in the attic goes to which Jack in which room.

Had to trace wire thru new to me motorhome. Hooked to wire going from my portable satellite and You get a weak red light, as I was checking wires, most were strong red lights meaning from a plugged in tv. Kept going following the weak red light and figured it out. Now satellite in the main tv. Mine had an old satellite system on the roof with plenty of wires. This is what I needed to figure out the mess

I bought this becuase my sister had no idea what wire led to which room in her house. You hook one end up to the wire outside and the beeper end to any room (or vice versa) and start testing. Of course it takes two people (one at each location) but you will soon be able to label your wires accordingly. I even tested it on a coax that was 600 feet long and the signal had no problem traveling down the wire. Great little tool.

There should be a special hell for installers who do not label coax cable! There were 7 cables coming out of my attic to a splitter, and I had no clue which went to a particular room. This handy gadget quickly solved the mystery for me; screw the tone piece on one end and apply the piece with the battery to the other end of the cable. If you hear a loud tone, label that cable right now! If not, keep testing until you find the correct cable. Its one of those items you may only need once in your lifetime, so I was glad the price was reasonable.

Only complaint is that it came without any instructions what so ever.

I used this to track several runs of cable in my house. Very easy to use. Nice and compact design.

So, this tool has worked fairly well for the lat two weeks.

It didnt come with any basic instructions but once I got the jist of it i was able to check my coax so much faster! Good price for what i need. Much easier than messing with a volt meter.

I have had this for 10 minutes and in my mind it has already paid for itself. I recently moved to this house and there are coaxial wires ran everywhere and none are identified. This device is working like a charm.
