Continental GatorSkin DuraSkin Tire

Replaced the 23s on my 2012 TCR with these 25s. Went on easy over some Conti tubes (700x20-25 race tubes) and I had no issues whatsoever with frame or rim brake clearance. After the first 100 miles, they ride smooth and comfortable, address tight turns well and handle road debris and even the occasional couple of wake-up bumps with no concerns. Ill suggest them to friends and will definitely buy them again if the need arises. For those concerned about the authenticity due to them not having that PolyX Breaker insignia shown in some of the pics and Contis own marketing images: They (Continental) appear to have minimized the logo on the tire over the last year or so. Ive attached a photo of this same tire on display at a Trek store in Dallas, TX, and you can plainly see the logo and insignia are just like the latest pics of this tire as purchased from Amazon (like mine). As for the 2 tiny machined holes in the middle of the tire, they are (as several others here have pointed out) treadwear indicators purposefully molded in by Continental. They are even identified as such on the sidewall just under each one on either side with arrows pointing up at them. They are nothing of concern and do not negatively impact wear or traction.

I’ve had very good luck with these. Many, many miles, not too many flats, have them on most of my 8 bikes.

Ive used these tires before on my bikes and they are unbeatable. Todays roads require a tougher tire without giving up on speed. The price here is great!! I would recommend the tire and the vendor.

Put a 28mm gatorskin tire on a much lighter weight front wheel than the original eBike wheel. 480 grams lighter wheel, with a Continental tire known for its puncture poofing, rather than the unknown brand 32mm tire. I feel more secure with this wheel and tire combination riding on the streets and cycling paths with lots of broken glass that the city and county never clean up...

Have had these on my bike for a year, I bike year round in all conditions for commuting to work. They do the trick just fine, good grip, i have only had one flat as I jumped a small curb when the tire pressure was basically at zero( bike was sitting for a couple months) which was my fault otherwise no issues, minimal wear, barely noticeable.

I was getting a flat every weekend on our training rides. Something needed to give! These work great. Easy to install. Havent had a flat since. Would buy again.

I have used Continental GaitorSkins on tandems and single bikes, I like them because they roll well but are also extremely durable.
