> 3 dayThis is the second set of Gator Skins Ive bought (first set was for a different bike). They roll through the glassiest, most potholed streets in NYC and keep my tubes safe. Theyre easy enough to remove with tire levers. Ive had lesser tires easily puncture but refuse to come off for that change- the worst! I dont know what your streets are like but they cant be worse than New Yorks. Strongly recommended!

19-11-2024I cant speak to the set I just bought though I can say they went on just fine and are doing well after a couple hundred miles. I replaced an earlier set of Continental Gatorskins that ran me for about 2500 miles with no (ZERO) flats. Even when the outer layer had worn off on parts and I was waiting for the new set, I rode with no flats. My bike repair guy recommended the tire and swears by them. Prior to gatorskins I swore at my tires. Now I swear by them. Flat free and still riding.

> 3 dayI have used Continental GaitorSkins on tandems and single bikes, I like them because they roll well but are also extremely durable.

> 3 dayAfter getting 4 flats in two weeks I changed both my bike and my sons to Gatorskins. Over the last two weeks no flats only time will determine how good. The ride doesnt seemed to be affected at all compared to the continental 4000 25mm. I would recommend at this point.

> 3 dayOnly reason for the low star was Amazon sent the wrong item. How can you make that mistake. But anyway, I do have continental tires on my bike and they start to come apart after a couple of uses. See other reviews.

> 3 dayEase of installation might be related to rim size. I got the right size, but it took me a long time with strained fingers, wrenches, & cursing to get this foldable tire on. Ive changed other (rigid) tires in literally a few seconds. It was not as easy as I thought it would be and theres other anecdotes about a foldable tire being hard to install. I assume the durability and performance is worth it.
