Continental GatorSkin DuraSkin Tire

The tires were installed only about 6 months ago. They worked well until recently. Both front and rear tires are shedding strings off the side wall of the tires close to the rim of the wheel. A thin layer of fabric is delaminated from the tire right from where strings came off. Is this a safety concern? I googled it and it seems this is a common problem of Continental products. Any suggestions?

Super durable. The only tires for city riding. Haven’t had a flat since I’ve had them.

I should have bought these before, awesome training tires, very good puncture resistance.

Great tires, but... they have a rotation direction that is only molded in very hard to read print on one side of the tire. How did I guess wrong TWICE?!?

These tires are great, and have kept me from getting any punctures even with the frequent glass and bits of metal on the roads where I live. The install is very easy as long as you use tire levers, just make sure your thumb doesnt get pinched. I would say the only drawback of these is the weight, but the tradeoff for the amount of puncture protection is worth it, just know that youll want to switch to lighter tires for racing. For everything but racing, I dont think theres a better tire out there.

Saucy, grips well, transfers power well and I can say its very puncture resistant

They say no flats.. so wrong! The rubber on these tires come off of the protective mesh. They are no better than a $10 tire in my opinion. I commute daily and I have had 5 flats in 3 months on these so called tough tires. Not happy and looking for something better.

Got 2 holes in first 2 weeks, covered about 120m wille riding mostly on bike lines.

Less than 500 miles and the bead broke on the front

After experimenting with different tires Ive come to settle on these. Probably the 3rd set Ive purchased even put them on my wifes bike as well. Always great tred wear and longevity. lll never go with another brand again.
