> 3 dayThese tires are really tight and hard to mount, but the worst part is they not as durable as claimed. Scuffs, cuts and cracks galore plus a wide assortment of punctures, most on the top of the tire where they are supposed to be the strongest. Still plenty of rubber left according to the wear marks, but I moved one to another brand that proved sturdier.

> 3 dayI have cycled over 30,000 miles, these tires attract wire, their soft rubber acts like a magnet for thin wire, so if you ride in industrial areas like me, be prepared to fix tubes. The high bridge in the middle of the tire is soft rubber, and so many times I have had to take the tire off the wheel to search for the small piece of wire which is just about the same length as the tire is thick. Takes at least two times through the tire to find this little piece of wire and due to the depth of the rubber I need pliers to get the wire out. At least a dozen tubes have been punctured by this little piece of wire. These tidbits of wire are testing my resolve to buy a different tire.

07-06-2025I do not know what happens with this tyres. the lateral part is very weak and it has broken me with less than 100 miles. They have to check the quality.

> 3 dayThe durability of Continentaln Gatorskin tires is why theyre #1 with me. I dont enjoy changing flats, so you could call these tires flat preventives for many miles.

> 3 dayGot to give 5 stars because without these, I am replacing tubes weekly. Goatheads may eventually puncture through, but not as often as regular tires

> 3 dayNothing worse than changing a flat on ride. I have a simple rule for when its time to replace tires. When I flat in two consecutive rides, regardless of age or wear, I replace the tire. I bought this Gatorskin front tire over 3 years ago and have put at least 3,000 miles on it. Ive never had one flat. The entire outer layer of rubber is completely split and cracked and can be peeled off with with your finger nail. I went ahead and replaced it out of an abundance of caution but theres no telling how much more I could have got out of it before the 2 flat rule dictated replacement. I think I have to come up with a new rule. These are really great tires.
