> 3 dayThe price was a little high, but then it isnt a HHD. I love the light weight & size of these. I think I notice a speed change on boot up, but I dont know if that is the other new parts of my computer doing that. With the 750GB this SSD should outlast me. My old HHD was a 500GB & I didnt even use half of it. Anyway, I just use these as data storage. No OS on them.

> 3 dayIve been using this for months and so far trouble free operation and it makes my older computer seem like new again. By far the most bang for the buck in terms of computer upgrades.

30-11-2024replaced a much larger laptop HDD in my MacBook, simultaneously accellerating the speed of the device for my routine uses. I always depend on Crucial products for all of my memory needs. Best out there!

> 3 dayWould have been 5 stars if the instructions had mentioned to download the Storage Executive Client software to manage the drive. At first the drive would cause Windows 10 to lock-up randomly. Turns out that enabling the Momentum Cache in the Storage Executive client solved the problem for me. I stumbled across this purely by accident, while researching the problem on the internet. Otherwise, its been a great SSD, especially so, considering the price.

> 3 dayHad some trouble with cloning: the software would not notice the new drive if it was in a USB 3.0 rack. It worked after attaching it to an internal sata cable, although there was no graphical interface, and I could only guess that it was working due to the HDD activity led being always lit. Other than this, zero problems.

> 3 dayI bought this for only $99 around Thanksgiving weekend. I used it in a desktop system to replace a 240GB Intel 520-series that was about 80% full. I dont notice any difference in performance, but I know theres not much difference between SATA SSDs unless you buy a DRAM-less model, and those can be much slower. Ive had good experiences with the MX100, BX100, and MX200 SSDs from Crucial and I dont expect this will be any different.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised but slower than my 850 EVOs. I have 2 of these in RAID 0 and althoug the read speeds hit close to 1000mb/s the write speed is still staying around 500mb/s which was a little depressing. However, due to the amount of storage, I have decided to deal with the slower than expected RAID write speed and keep these.

> 3 dayWould rate 5 stars but a clean install shows only 698 GB available, maybe the OS takes 52GB?

> 3 dayMy late 2008 macbook pro was pretty much dead so instead of buying a new laptop I decided to try to bring it back to life one last time. I was in doubt between crucial and samsung. They both had great reviews so I decided to go with crucial because of the lower price for more space. This SSD worked perfectly! My macbook is acting like new now!! I used this SSD as my main disk, removed the cd slot, bought a HD caddy, and put the old HD there. I also upgraded the memory from 2g to 8g(apple says my model would only work up to 4g but its not true, 8g is working great!). Even my roommate commented that it seemed faster than his 2014 macbook pro (his macbook has 16g and runs with a samsung SSD and the original HD).
