Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Memory for Mac CT2K32G4S266M

Super easy to install in my 2017 iMac 27 3.4 i5 (it took maybe 4 minutes max). I left in the 8GB of RAM that came with the machine, installed the 32GB Crucial kit, and now Ive got 40GB of RAM. Im thinking this setup is going to last me for a long, long time, and its certainly cheaper than getting it from Apple.

Bought a new iMac because my old one gave out. Purchased the standard 8GB from Apple, and bought this RAM rather than pay Apple twice as much. I took out the 8GB and put in the 32GB before I even turned the new Mac on. Absolutely no issues. Mac powered on with no trouble. The reason I took out the 8GB and simply left in the 32GB was because I read several reviewers who ran Geekbench tests on their systems, testing the 32GB (2 by 16) and 40GB (2 by 8 and 2 by 16) and the single core and multi core scores were higher with the 32GB RAM. Its not much of a difference, but I suggest you run some tests on your system to determine which is faster.

Awesome, my iMac became a beast now

Installed this to bring the total memory in iMac up to 40GB and it was very simple and works perfectly. Definitely notice a difference when running multiple programs at the same time. Was worth the price IMO.

I installed this kit (16kb X 2) in iMac/18,3/ 27/i5/3.5kHZ; it took about 5 mins. I placed them in the two empty slots (2&4) and they were recognized immediately. A few days later I switched the new modules with the original ones just to see if there was a difference. I did not use any software to analyze the speed changes if there were any; I could not detect any difference. So, bottom line: new modules are in slots 1&3 (counting from the bottom) and original modules are in slots 2&4 and all is well.

Works as advertised.

Works flawlessly in my 2017 iMac 27”

I purchased a new 27 5K retina iMAC which came with 8GB memory. I installed the Crucial 32GB kit which was a simple 5 min straightforward install into the two vacant memory banks. The TechTool memory test was flawless and applications open and close much faster with the memory boost. It is an essential upgrade to boost performance at excellent savings over Apple prices.

Ok very simple. Just got my new iMac 27” today. Let it do it’s thing (out of the box set up). Once it was all dialed in. Unplugged opened the back took out apple ram installed new ram in slot 1-3 installed apple ram in 2-4. Plugged in turned on. And done. Can’t say it was any easier than that.
