This went into my 2019 5K 27 iMac (the base model for $1799). It came with 8GB of RAM (2 sticks of 4GB each). I took those out and inserted these two in its place, plus I added 16GB more (2 sticks of 16GB each) in the other slots (also Crucial brand). Everything went perfectly and I now have 48GB of very fast RAM, which should last me 3-4 years (based on my needs/usage). The installation was very quick and easy! I dont know why some reviewers are having such a hard time, its compatible all right! Maybe theyre not seating them in correctly?

Im pleased to report that this Crucial 32gb ram was simple to install and works as it should on my 27 iMac.

My wifes HP laptop had 4gb of memory but only one memory slot. It was very slow booting and almost as slow waking up. After installing the 8gb memory the laptop is dramatically improved. I suppose this review is less about the memory and more about HP building such a slow laptop that is easily made faster.

If youre wondering, yes, these can be added to the factory sticks that your machine came with - in my case adding these 32x2 gave me a total of 80GB and made a real difference.

I was trying to decide if I bought the right one... I had this single and the other choice was dual I didnt want to risk it, so I bought the single... according to the reviews... At first I didnt modify the order of the chips and just inserted it, didnt notice a difference, so then I switched it and WOW... freaking EH, everything opening up fast as lightening... The model iMac I bought was 3.4hz, 5k, 27 inch, 2017 model... I can confirm that these RAM chips work and well worth the money...

Short version....I followed the steps outlined by Amazon Groupie and voila! Booting! Succwss!! And wicked faster just by adding 2x16Gb!

Bought the 64 GB kit. DDR4-2666 SODIMM 1.2V CL19 to REPLACE my old 8GB, same brand etc.
