> 3 dayInstalled this in my 2017 27 5K iMac to increase my RAM to 24GB. The installation process was smooth and the memory did not give me any trouble after installation.

> 3 dayMy iMac recognized it though it didnt seem to when I put it in the first slot. I put it in the second and left an original 4GB in the first and alls well. Upgraded from 8gb total to 24GB now.

> 3 dayThis was the easiest upgrade Ive ever done. The additional ram has essential eliminated all delay, particularly on web surfing. The improved performance easily outdistanced the cost, which is very reasonable.

Greater than one weekI ordered a new 2018 iMac 3.5 Ghz Core i5 (Retina 5K, 27-inch) with a standard 8GB Ram and a 1TB SSD for a total price tag of $3,387.89 with tax (including Apple Care, USB-C VGA Multiport Adopter and MS Office Home 2016 for Mac). Had I chosen the configuration with a 32GB RAM, it would have added $600 more + tax. So I decided instead to order a compatible 32 GB Kit (16GB x 2) from Crucial which cost me only $338.30 (Tax included). Thats a savings of almost or about $300. Adding the 32GB RAM took only less than 3 minutes to complete. It was a no brainer. The best part is that my new iMac is now operating blazingly fast with a total of 40 GB RAM!

> 3 dayI installed this kit (16kb X 2) in iMac/18,3/ 27/i5/3.5kHZ; it took about 5 mins. I placed them in the two empty slots (2&4) and they were recognized immediately. A few days later I switched the new modules with the original ones just to see if there was a difference. I did not use any software to analyze the speed changes if there were any; I could not detect any difference. So, bottom line: new modules are in slots 1&3 (counting from the bottom) and original modules are in slots 2&4 and all is well.

Greater than one weekBeen using Crucial RAM chips for years in my iMacs. Theyve never failed for me unlike the other no-name brands Apple puts in their machines which has caused me grief to say the least. Crucial is a quality brand name you can count on at a decent price. My Mac era usage goes way back to Si, Ci, Power PCs, etc. Love my Macs, but like dependable memory in them!
