Easy install. I didnt move any of the existing pre-installed memory dims (2x 4G). Installed these (2x 16GB dims) in the open slots, powered on and it worked beautifully. My iMac is the Base model 2017 27.

Ever since someone told me about the memory product call Crucial many years ago, Ive purchased only this brand of memory.

The reviews had made me apprehensive in the self install. Once I received the product it was a simple 4 step process including reboot. Simple and immediately recognized by the computer. Now to see the difference!

Excellent product for my wifes 27in new iMac

Like others here, I have a brand new, 2017 27, 5K iMac (i7 3Tb) with the minimum 8Gb RAM from Apple figuring I would immediately upgrade it to 40Gb on my own. My Crucial 16GbX2 RAM came in a padded envelope and the packaging inside seemed fine; no damage. I left the original 8Gb RAM in their respective slots and installed the Corsair set in the empty slots but my Mac wouldnt even boot up, just the black screen. Then, I tried installing the Corsair one by one while trying to start up in between but still got the black screen.

Works with 2017 4.2 GHz Intel Core 7 27 inch iMac. Easy to install. I ordered my iMac with the lowest memory option of 8GB which was 2 4GB which left me with 2 slots to upgrade. My total is 24GB which has been plenty including using Lightroom 6.

Good price for 32gb RAM for my mid 2017 27 iMac. Easy to install into the two open slots, and combined with the factory apple RAM. I now have a total of 40gb. No regrets buying Crucial memory. Much better pricing than OWC for this upgrade.
