This is a great and reliable product. I hope they continue making this refill for the design I purchased. I hate when two-part products get redesigned or discontinued and I would be especially sad if that happened to this great product. Ive tried the plug-in rechargeable desiccants, the charcoal moisture and odor absorbers but this has been the most reliable. I live in a coastal city and it stays pretty humid year round. I also live in a small home and things are packed pretty tightly in the closets. Without DampRid, I have had moisture and worse, odor problems. Ive found spots of mold growing on my leather shoes! I tried the bucket but it spills too easily and gets nasty since its open. The container that takes these refills is well-balanced and uninteresting to animals so they leave it alone. It has never been kicked over and always keeps the closets smelling fresh and free of mold. It is disceet and effective.

Worked, but price has doubled.

Last year we purchased Damp-Rid in the individual 10.5 oz plastic containers. This year we purchased the 10.5 oz refills and used the reusable containers from last year. Very convenient!! This product really absorbs the moisture.

I absolutely love this stuff! We bought a older home that had been remodeled i side but when I would walk through the garage door it smelled musty and sort of mildewed. I set this in the entry way by my scentsy (which I was using to cover the smell) and it has taken that smell away completely! I barely use my scentsy there anymore. When my old one dried up and I didnt have a new one yet I could totally smell the difference. Also, in our bedroom our bathroom flooded and for a lot of our bedroom carpet soaked. We had a carpet cleaner come in and suck up the water and spray and dry it but it still ended up smelling mildewy. I placed one of the damp rid units down on the carpet against the wall and it has helped wonders! After like 2 days I already had about a 1/4 cup of liquid in the bottom from the moisture it pulled out of the air. Im telling you, these are awesome!!

My mom LOVES Damp Did products! We live in a fairly humid area and ever since moving into our house 20 years ago we have struggled with our walls growing mold, especially on the areas where there is furniture touching them. A few times a year she has to scrub and clean mold off and just plain hated doing so & the humid/musky odor in her bedroom since that was the worst area of the house. We originally bought the small buckets to place under her bed and the hanging bags for the closet. When she asked me to reorder thd buckets & I told her about these refills she was ecxtatic! I prefer these self-contained pouches over the loose granules simply for ease of use and.potential clean-up if spilled. We were continually having mildew issues in a closet thats` back wall is an exterior wall that is not well insulated, and even leaving the doors open helped. I finally bought this DampRid and I have been amazed at the amount of water that collects in the container. I knew that there was humidity in the room, having the only shower in the master bedroom, but WOW, until you can see it, it`s easy to ignore. These refill pouches are mess free. Period. Although I have the unit in the back of the closet shelf, we have 2 cats...need I say more? In the event that the container gets knocked over, the absorbant crystals will not make a mess. I would also say that we have no small children in the house.

I bought one of those fancy automatic trash cans for the kitchen that you wave your hand over to open (no touching gross can!) The problem was since its closed all the time and some garbage is wet, the inside of the lid had a lot of condensation on it. Every time I opened the top, water dripped all over and...eew. just EEW! I bought the refill packs and taped one to the inside of the trash can with packing tape! Haha! It totally solved my drippy can lid issue! Will definitely repurchase when I run out.
