I absolutely love this stuff! We bought a older home that had been remodeled i side but when I would walk through the garage door it smelled musty and sort of mildewed. I set this in the entry way by my scentsy (which I was using to cover the smell) and it has taken that smell away completely! I barely use my scentsy there anymore. When my old one dried up and I didnt have a new one yet I could totally smell the difference. Also, in our bedroom our bathroom flooded and for a lot of our bedroom carpet soaked. We had a carpet cleaner come in and suck up the water and spray and dry it but it still ended up smelling mildewy. I placed one of the damp rid units down on the carpet against the wall and it has helped wonders! After like 2 days I already had about a 1/4 cup of liquid in the bottom from the moisture it pulled out of the air. Im telling you, these are awesome!!

These do an excellent job of collecting moisture in a small room. The room where I use the easy-fill system is my laundry room, and also where I keep the cat litter box, so it had some issues both with moisture and with odors. This product has helped a lot with both problems. I usually empty the receptacle every 2 weeks or so, and a refill bag lasts from 1 to 2 months for all of the white crystals to be used up. All of the ones Ive received have worked well - I havent had the problems that some reviewers have had with the refill packets arriving with the crystals stuck together in a solid block and not absorbing moisture. The one issue Ive had with these is that theyre a little too big for my easy-fill system, which is the smaller version, not the large room version. The description on Amazon doesnt specify that these are the refills for the larger system - but theyre somewhat too large for the top compartment in the smaller version - when I stuff them in there its hard to close the lid. It still works fine though. These really are fragrance-free - no odor at all. Some of the questions about the product have asked whether the receptacle is really necessary. Yes! It is. These arent like the silica packs that come in clothes and shoes that just soak up moisture and hold it. These attract moisture in the air and then distill it into an oily, thick liquid that can stain and damage things if it gets on them - so there needs to be something into which the liquid can collect - otherwise youll end up with a wet mess.

Product is great, but packaging SUCKED! Here you have a chemical that is packaged in bags, placed inside a flimsy box, and then placed in a bubble mailer. Product was so squished inside bubble mailer than product box was crushed and product bags spilling out of box. Luckily none of the bags ruptured. This is NOT the first time I have received items shipped in bubble mailers that were crushed. Use common sense especially when chemicals are involved. Boxed items should NOT be mailed in bubble mailers, only items with soft packaging. Thought about sending it back, but kept it only because I bought it for someone else who couldnt wait for a replacement. Due to health issues this person needed the moisture out of their home fast! Next time this happens, back it goes, Ill then buy it local.

My justmive into the basement I saw the reviews of this and decided to try it. Its amazing and true to word. It does everything ii also like the scent it gives the room. It was Amazing to see the water in the bottom of the bags.i wish I took a pick. Bit its worth it.rhe basmati doaent have that old misty smell

I have used this product in several different forms for years. It is the best solution for areas that can not be addressed by a dehumidifier.

Ive been using DampRid in my summer cabin for a few years now. We close down our cabin at the beginning of winter and dont return until the spring. Years ago, we noticed mold spots on our furniture, clothes and closet walls when we returned in the spring. Once we started putting DampRid in each room and in the master closet as we closed down for the winter, the mold has never returned. We use DampRid refills every year. And it smells good!
