> 24 hourI absolutely love this stuff! We bought a older home that had been remodeled i side but when I would walk through the garage door it smelled musty and sort of mildewed. I set this in the entry way by my scentsy (which I was using to cover the smell) and it has taken that smell away completely! I barely use my scentsy there anymore. When my old one dried up and I didnt have a new one yet I could totally smell the difference. Also, in our bedroom our bathroom flooded and for a lot of our bedroom carpet soaked. We had a carpet cleaner come in and suck up the water and spray and dry it but it still ended up smelling mildewy. I placed one of the damp rid units down on the carpet against the wall and it has helped wonders! After like 2 days I already had about a 1/4 cup of liquid in the bottom from the moisture it pulled out of the air. Im telling you, these are awesome!!

> 24 hourI never heard of DampRid until last year. I was going away for a month and needed something to take the moisture out of the air, as I turn the electric off, so there was no A/C to take away the damp from the humidity. I bought several 2 packs of these DampRid products, so I could put one in every room. In the past, Ive always dreaded going in the house after being away for so long, it smelled musty and damp.

> 24 hourWe had a dampness and rust problem with our wood stove during the Summer. The wood stove was cold from air conditioning, while the outside was hot and humid. This caused the hot, humid air to enter the wood stove, condense, and then trigger rust. I placed a refill in a shallow pan which I then put at the bottom of the wood stove. The refill absorbed all of the humidity and thwarted the rust problem.

> 24 hourThe box was damaged and taped with lots of tape. There should be 4 packs but one of the packs was missing. I am not happy to have to return the Damp Rid item but I have no choice since it is not the item described in the ad.

> 24 hourI dont have a problem with the product. My comment is that the packing job was lazy - the box that holds the product was smashed on top and bottom - luckily no damage to contents. Why are some employees putting items in envelopes with no packing material - this item is heavy enough that it needs to be in a small box with some packing material.

> 24 hourIve been using DampRid in my summer cabin for a few years now. We close down our cabin at the beginning of winter and dont return until the spring. Years ago, we noticed mold spots on our furniture, clothes and closet walls when we returned in the spring. Once we started putting DampRid in each room and in the master closet as we closed down for the winter, the mold has never returned. We use DampRid refills every year. And it smells good!

> 24 hourWe have a small room converted to an office, on the second story of our house. The room does not have the best circulation, and in the middle of the summer (hot and humid days) it got really damp feeling in there. Based on a recommendation from a Home Depot associate, decided to give DampRid a try -- and have been very happy ever since. We put the container in the room, and about every few weeks or so we dump out more than a cup full of water down the drain. These refills do the same job that the original pack did, and the room feel and smells much better now. Guess we will have to figure out why the issue occurs (maybe need to replace the 13 year old windows seals?), but until then these do the job.

> 24 hourSo we live in Florida and deal with humidity year round despite air conditioning. This works great in the bathroom and closets. My only complaint, and hence the 3 star rating, is its a mess to empty and change out the bag cartridge. The residue liquid at the bottom is highly corrosive and it gets all over my hands when emptying and changing. And heaven forbid you touch your eye with this stuff. I dont know what the solution to this issue is other than buying a totally disposable hanging bag which is probably more expensive and wasteful. However, if you can deal with this problem, and or it doesnt bother you then go with it.
