Greater than one weekI put these in my closet and basement and have been using them for years. They are easy to use, make the closet smell nice and truly absorb moisture. Definitely recommend!

> 3 dayThis is a great product for situations, such as bathrooms, where extra moisture can be an issue. The only real complaint I have about this item is that they make a number of different containers/systems and refill packs and while not a necessity, it is best if you get the right type of refills for the container/system that you have. The one that I use is a rounded rectangular box (FG95) that hangs on the side of a standard toilet. When I used a different refill pack, I manually reloaded the old pouch using the product from the (wrong) refill kit, which was not an ideal way to do it, to say the least.

> 3 dayWe live in a very old house. All of the first floor closets, and cabinetry with closed doors have one or two jars of Damp Rid. It is absolutely reliable and thwarts mildew. A dehumidifier in the summer and Damp Rid year round protects our linens, leathers and art. It lasts a long time, is very inexpensive for the service it provides and is easily refilled. It is an amazing product and gives me confidence that the closed in spaces aren’t growing anything negative. We always have it stocked for refills. It’s a super way to protect your things if you have a moisture problem in closed spaces.

Greater than one weekWe use the Damp Rid system in our cabin -- the refills in the pitchers and the hanging ones in closets and discreetly hanging in the living areas. Since it is closed up quite a bit, these things do the trick when it does not get ventilation. Before we used Damp Rid, the place always smelled musty. Since we use DampRid, it is so much fresher! I even started using the hanging ones at home in our closets and basement and was amazed at how much moisture they can pull from the air. They make everything smell so fresh. They really improve the quality of your air and make your living space so much cleaner. I cant say enough about this product.

Greater than one weekMy windows kept getting condensation and eventually would mold. I was horrified when I began to notice this. Black mold is no joke. I began to place damp rid in the window sills in one of their decorative containers. Not into the look of it but I rather look at that than mold. It worked so well that I soon had to refill them. Just make sure that you regularly dump the excess moisture in order for it to work well.

05-06-2025We have a small room converted to an office, on the second story of our house. The room does not have the best circulation, and in the middle of the summer (hot and humid days) it got really damp feeling in there. Based on a recommendation from a Home Depot associate, decided to give DampRid a try -- and have been very happy ever since. We put the container in the room, and about every few weeks or so we dump out more than a cup full of water down the drain. These refills do the same job that the original pack did, and the room feel and smells much better now. Guess we will have to figure out why the issue occurs (maybe need to replace the 13 year old windows seals?), but until then these do the job.

Greater than one weekI have a camper that is parked in a recreational lot full time. I use 3 Damp Rid receptacles in it(front middle and back) and it keeps the camper smelling normal and I have no signs of mold, mildew or musty odors which is a difficult task if you own a camper. I use the little bag style and the large tablet version as well. The large tablet units seem to work the quickest especially if a small fan in the room is paired with it.

> 3 dayThese do an excellent job of collecting moisture in a small room. The room where I use the easy-fill system is my laundry room, and also where I keep the cat litter box, so it had some issues both with moisture and with odors. This product has helped a lot with both problems. I usually empty the receptacle every 2 weeks or so, and a refill bag lasts from 1 to 2 months for all of the white crystals to be used up. All of the ones Ive received have worked well - I havent had the problems that some reviewers have had with the refill packets arriving with the crystals stuck together in a solid block and not absorbing moisture. The one issue Ive had with these is that theyre a little too big for my easy-fill system, which is the smaller version, not the large room version. The description on Amazon doesnt specify that these are the refills for the larger system - but theyre somewhat too large for the top compartment in the smaller version - when I stuff them in there its hard to close the lid. It still works fine though. These really are fragrance-free - no odor at all. Some of the questions about the product have asked whether the receptacle is really necessary. Yes! It is. These arent like the silica packs that come in clothes and shoes that just soak up moisture and hold it. These attract moisture in the air and then distill it into an oily, thick liquid that can stain and damage things if it gets on them - so there needs to be something into which the liquid can collect - otherwise youll end up with a wet mess.

> 3 dayI never heard of DampRid until last year. I was going away for a month and needed something to take the moisture out of the air, as I turn the electric off, so there was no A/C to take away the damp from the humidity. I bought several 2 packs of these DampRid products, so I could put one in every room. In the past, Ive always dreaded going in the house after being away for so long, it smelled musty and damp.
