> 3 dayDaniel Smith makes the best professional watercolor paint from my experience so far (even best than Winsor & Newton). Very transparent, wonderful vibrant paint. This set has really great selection for a 6 colour palette! Way back before they had a set of these, I bought these same six colours for a minimal palette and used solely them for a few months with great results. You may want to add raw umber, raw sienna and burnt sienna eventually, but this is a wonderful starter. For the price, this might be the ideal step up to a professional grade paint if youve been using student amateur grade so far. Im recommending this to all my students who want to get a professional starter.

> 3 dayOk, but I can’t see what the fuss is all about. Personally I like M. Graham better.

Greater than one weekIve only swatched them and have been playing with color mixing. This would make a good set for limited palette work. The colors are highly pigmented, a littlegoes a long way. There are two yellows, two reds, two blues. Enjoying these paints.

> 3 dayGreat product. I love these pigments compared to the pallets of dried pigment. Even as a beginner, these were very easy to use and in my opinion, are able to give you a wider range of options and techniques.

Greater than one weekMy favorite brand of watercolor. These small tubes give you the opportunity to try colors before buying a larger tube. Good for beginners to try professional grade paints, which are superior to student grade.
