> 24 hourI purchased the Dell P2214H IPS 22 LED monitor 6 months ago (used). It arrived in perfect condition. The display is crisp and clear. I use this system (Windows 7 Pro x64) for code editing and so I greatly appreciate the ability to swivel it 90 degrees, allowing many lines of code to be viewed/edited. I am not a gamer or a graphic artists so I cannot speak to its responsiveness or color reproduction. If I must purchase another monitor I will look for another just like it.

> 24 hourI guess Im just old school but Ive always liked a 4:3 ratio screen but since my last one finally died a few weeks back, I had to go with new because the available 4:3 were too old or too expensive. I decided to go with this 22 inch 16:9 Dell. Its very nice and of course has the 4:3 ratio option available and is very quick and easy to switch between the two so I can work PC all I need to and then watch videos MAC while I relax. Its gets better with the adjustable height stand that also has multiple connection options as well as Upstream / Downstream USB ports right on the monitor. This is a great buy for the price. I highly recommend this product.

> 24 hourMy company bought one of these for me to use and I liked it so much that I bought a second, identical one. I dont do graphic design, color matching, play games, watch movies, or do anything that either might stress a monitor or require it to have some fancy set of specifications, so I cant tell you that this is the most fabulous monitor you can buy for the price. It is definitely not Brand X, however ... neither in function nor quality. If these models hold up as well as the other DELL monitors I have purchased (five others in the past), they are worth the extra $30 or so above what the cheapest ones cost. As the engineers play with these things and mostly not listen to actual end users, they seem to want to mess with the menu options, purported to improve them. Some menu adjustment interfaces are just downright awkward. The buttons (and what they do) and the menus called up by them on this monitor do not strike me as stupid or inherently unusable. Above average, certainly. Maybe not as flexible as the newer ViewSonic flat panel monitors, but then this monitor is not seriously intended to compete with one that costs twice as much. This is a perfectly serviceable 1920x1080 monitor for home or business use. The Dell AC511 USB Wired SoundBar is designed to attach to this DELL monitor, for which it is perfect in those environments, IMHO. Standard VESA attachment on the back for mounting. Everything you need.

> 24 hourLove this monitor. One of the very few that has a height adjustment (which I dont understand why they all dont have this feature). My wife has the same size display (from another manufacturer) and has to put book under it so its the right height. Performs well for everyday tasks (office apps/ internet/ streaming video). I have the 22 version of this monitor at work and liked it so much that I got this bigger one for home.

> 24 hourI have only had these a few months. They are sturdy, good color and can be angled and adjusted on a desk with great ease. Turning your screen to show someone something is easy with this monitor. You can also rotate them 90º and use them for tall spreadsheets or for coding. Great functionality. However, I should have paid attention to the resolution. Not happy with such a low resolution for such a big monitor. I will make the best of it, but wish I had looked better and then picked a different monitor for my main display with a higher resolution and used this as a secondary with the rotating option.

> 24 hourThis is a great monitor. It has a sturdy stand. Images are bright, clear and sharp, although overly bright with the out of box settings. Currently set brightness 10 and contrast 78. i am using the DVI input although that is the one cable not included. I would have given this a 5 out of 5 except for one thing. I cannot figure out how to register this for the warranty! Dell website requires a 7 digit service tag number and then goes on to say that most monitors do not have a service tag number and this is one that does not! I have an account with Dell but it only wants to access products already purchased.

> 24 hourWith all of the monitors out there today, its hard to tell the good from the bad without performing extensive research. This research needs to be combined with a bit of luck as it would be cost prohibitive for every site to cover the full product line from multiple manufacturers. The monitor that was replaced by the Dell P2014H was a 23 LG with an IPS panel. My prior effort to use a HP w2071d to achieve the desired resolution for a budget computer system resulted in excessive visual fatigue that would be exacerbated when dark images would appear. The backlighting on that 20 inch monitor was abysmal. My priorities for the display were: 1.) IPS panel 2.) 1600x900 resolution 3.) Digital input The Dell P2014H appeared to be the best of breed based on the aforementioned criteria. The overall image quality and performance is absolutely fantastic, especially at the price point that Amazon sells it for. On top of a solid image with fairly balanced backlighting (tad bit lighter in the lower right-hand corner, but not distracting or outside of expectations in this range), you get additional features that come in handy: 1.) Integrated USB hub: Using an AmazonBasics keyboard, the integrated USB cord was a bit too short for the placement of the mid-tower. Running the keyboard through the integrated hub resolved this issue, and made it easier to connect additional peripherals. 2.) Rotating display: While it would be nice to have an accelerometer or gyroscope to allow the monitor to auto-trigger the shift from portrait to landscape format, two clicks of the mouse and a quick 90 degree rotation of the monitor completely changes the dynamic of viewing websites, reading long documents, and even developing websites. The text is crisp and the mechanics of rotating the monitor results in a smooth and effortless adjustment. 3.) Adjustable height. The Dell engineers have built a solid and user-friendly stand that permits modification on the fly. Monitors that cost more than the P2014H are normally bound to a fixed stand and may result in discomfort of the neck during extended use. Be sure to download the latest utilities and drivers from Dells site to further optimize the image quality and power consumption of this display.

> 24 hourOne of the best monitors in the under $250 range. The flexible stand and the wide viewing angle are the key stand-out features of this monitor. Giving it a 4-stars, since the USB ports in the monitor do not support my wireless keyboard and mouse. Those ports can be used for all other purposes.

> 24 hourI purchased this monitor to use in portrait orientation in a dual monitor setup at work. I do a lot of document review and word processing at my job, so a monitor that is able to pivot to portrait orientation so that I can view documents in full-size was a must. I should note that the Dell P2314H seems to essentially be a slightly slimmed-down update of the Dell U2312HM, which I also own, and which has positive overall reviews on Amazon. My review of the P2314H, in summary, is that this monitor is perfect for my setup and it is a great value. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: -The packaging it came in was very robust -No dead pixels or screen quality issues -It has the ability to pivot to portrait orientation, which is excellent for anyone who does a lot of document review and/or word processing at work -Adjusting the tilt, swivel, pivot, and height is a very smooth process, yet the monitor feels very solid/sturdy at the same time -Wide and sturdy stand -It wont win any design awards like the $999 Apple Thunderbolt Display, but the material and build quality of the P2314H looks and feels high for its price range -Several connection options (VGA, DVI, DisplayPort) -4 USB 2.0 ports -Great value for the price--I got it for $154.99 Cons: -No HDMI Again, the monitor has just about every feature and is really solid. A great buy in my opinion!
