> 3 dayThese speakers are very bright with a super hot tweeter. I think they kicked in my tinnitus...haha. Also, they sound very thin at low volume. I returned them.

> 3 dayFor the price you can’t beat these speakers. They go low, have great mids and the highs are fine too. I use them as Atmos height speakers in my HT and they perform very well Before plugging them as Atmos i tried them in an A/B test and pitted them against my B&W 705 S2... while at more than 10x price difference the B&W were better at everything I couldn’t help saying several times wow the Elacs hold their own pretty well. I also compared them with other speakers in the same price range Definitive Tech Procinema 1000 and the Elacs totally blew them away. I also compared with older B&W DM603 S2 and they were really really close with the B&W slightly more refined. At this price you can’t go wrong with Elac and should be the first speaker for anyone getting into Audiophile grade speakers.

> 3 dayThese speakers sound awesome! Great for a music setup in a small room, with its compact body and big sound. Not too expensive, but doesnt sacrifice quality. Considering getting another pair for surround sound. And remember, cables not included.

> 3 dayThese speakers replaced my much loved Jaycar bookshelf units which suddenly gave up the ghost. The overall response of the speakers is quite adequate with nice clean bass. Sometimes at moderate levels the midrange may sound a little muddy- but it maybe its my old ears! Notwithstanding, Im very pleased with my purchase and would recommend purchasing them from Amazon.

Greater than one weekFirst off, I originally ordered the B6.2 pair of speakers and Amazon sent me these B5.2 instead. It worked out though because I like the more compact design. Ive also read that Andrew Jones designed this pair originally and then scaled up to make the B6.2. My wife and I have been using a JBL Cinema 250 sound bar and subwoofer combo on our 55 Samsung TV. We thought that setup sounded pretty good! I got a gift card for Crutchfield for Christmas and decided to invest in a quality home audio / home theater setup. LET ME TELL YOU... I cant believe I didnt buy a real set of speakers sooner. Someone on Reddit recommended these speakers to me for a beginner surround system. Even as just a 2.0 system, these speakers have amazing clarity and provide decent bass for their size. They have more bass and sound better than the 6.5 subwoofer that came with the JBL bar. I paired them with a Denon AVR-S540BT and they are currently my left and right front speakers on homemade stands. I plan on getting 2 more of these or the 5 model for my surround left and right speakers. They are paired with the C5.2 Center channel and listening to music in the multi channel mode is amazing. The clarity is unlike no other speaker system Ive ever heard. A lot of people have been saying the speakers are very bright, I dont have this problem. I even turn the treble up 1 or 2 db when watching some programs. I also have the center turned up 1db over the L&R speakers to bring out the vocals. Currently using an SVS PB-1000 as well, and that sounds amazing. It rattles my whole house.

Greater than one weekIm using them as a replacement for my aged left/right floor standing speakers in a surround sound set up. Im still breaking them in, but out of the box they have produced a nice clear low-mid to high range with a fantastic stage presence for my set up.

> 3 dayPurchased these and also the KEF Q100s at the same time. Simply put, the KEFs sounded better. Granted the KEFs were a much more expensive speaker, but at the time of this review, the KEFs are available on closeout for $249. Outside of the Q100s, these are probably best in the under $250 class. On their own, these sound good. Mellow sound and non-fatiguing. Some will say they lack detail, but its just not as forward as others. I found the soundstage a bit lacking. Build quality is very good, quite hefty for their size/price. Fit and finish could be better. Grills dont fit perfectly. Odd rattle on a loose terminal cup. But Im sure these issues will improve over their production life cycle. These are easily worth their price. Just dont go believing the hype that they sound as good as $1000 speakers...

18-11-2024I want to preface this by noting that I paid <$250 for my pair. Currently, they are listing for $300+ and you have TONS of options in that price range. Overall, I love these little beauties. I currently live in a small apartment and needed something appropriate for the space. These fit the bill. Not sure Id call em bright, but I do have the bass on my chi-fi amp turned up a smidge to warm them up. There can be a clinical aspect to the sound sometimes, I wont deny that. But at the price I paid, and given the rock-solid build quality, these are great. I may replace them with some wharfedales at some point, partially just to try something else, maybe see if I cant warm things up. Cant stress the source enough; playing mp3s through the bluetooth is fine but cranking some Floyd via CD really wakes up these pups. They are rockers and would pair well with a sub, Id think. I should stress that these are currently driven with a cheap class D Fosi amp. Id love to hear them through a quality class a/b amp, I just dont have the space.
