> 3 dayThese are excellent as the L/R front speaker pair in my surround system. For best result, position the tweeters at ear level when seated at the listening position. Also, before you judge the sound quality, allow about 20 hours of playing time at moderate levels for the speaker components to loosen up. This is important! Also, start with the speakers facing straight ahead. Then begin to slightly toe in the speaker to fine tune the imagining, to your taste, if needed. One final point. Make sure your amp/receiver has at least 50 watts per channel of power to properly drive this speaker. Most good quality equipment will have no trouble driving these 6to8 ohm speakers. With some initial care during setup, you will enjoy these speakers. Ive owned several pairs of this series of Elacs and have been very happy. Dont obsess over the hardware, just sit down and ENJOY THE MUSIC. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

> 3 dayIve had the Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 for a couple of weeks now. My ears are attached to a 60 plus body and theres unclearly :) been some audio spectrum attenuation. Ive had a Yamaha YAS-107 soundbar connected to my TV for a couple of years so to a certain extent, this is a comparison to the soundbar. The Elacs sound very good in overall comparison, but the soundbar is better with higher frequencies and voice. Its signal processing excels at that. I tried running the TV audio through my Denon AVR-S750H and the Elacs but I easily prefer the soundbar for basic TV watching. Its much cleaner, more spacious sound. If I stream music through the TV and AVR, then the Elacs are much better. I had intentions of setting aside the soundbar and using the AVR with Elacs for both TV and music, but I decided for now to leave the soundbar connected to the TV, and use the AVR for music streaming. I bought a HDMI switch so I can switch back and forth easily between TV/soundbar and TV/AVR/Elacs, or use the AVR/Elacs discretely for music. It seems to be the best solution for me at the moment. I am curious what a good 3.1soundbar sounds like in comparison. All in all, I dont regret the Elac purchase. For their size, they sound very nice.

> 3 dayThese speakers replaced my much loved Jaycar bookshelf units which suddenly gave up the ghost. The overall response of the speakers is quite adequate with nice clean bass. Sometimes at moderate levels the midrange may sound a little muddy- but it maybe its my old ears! Notwithstanding, Im very pleased with my purchase and would recommend purchasing them from Amazon.

> 3 dayI’m absolutely in love with these speakers! They sound awesome used by themselves. I added a subwoofer (Polk psw10) for enhanced low end and now the sound is truly unbelievable.i recommend getting the 5.2s and adding a subwoofer(like the Polk psw10) and I promise you will be so happy!

23-11-2024These speakers leave little to be desired. Incredibly balanced and easy to listen to. I paired these with an Emotiva TA-100 (50 watts per channel at 8 ohms/ 90 watts per channel at 4 ohms) and it had absolutely no problem driving them. I got these primarily to listen to my recordings after final mixing with reference monitors and headphones, and the detail these offer is incredibly for the price. Im hearing details in the tracks that I couldnt even hear with my Sennheiser hd650s. I got these on a whim just based on a few youtube reviews claiming they hit above their weight class - and they were way underselling these. In the past few weeks Ive found myself listening to these more than my Klipsch Heresy 3s with a Premaluna DiaLogue Premium Integrated. These obviously dont compare to to a nearly $6k speaker/amp combo, but they are just fun to listen to and offer an incredibly easy listening experience.
