the best manual solder pump ever made. Those blue plastic ones everyone has 5 of are terrible, thats why we get so many.

Really. Well-built, high performance, will last a long time if it is properly maintained. Small and easy to set and trigger. The silcone tip is, on average, a plus though you have to take care to not crank your soldering iron up to 450° C. Follow the instructions to keep the nozzle clear. Save the instructions, use and maintain it as described and you will be happy with the performance.

This is a great solder sucker. With its silicone tip, removing solder is very easy. The only time I replace the tip is when it gets dirty and damaged. It isn’t melted at 365C so that’s an added bonus!

If you are doing a big desolder job then as always use a desoldering gun but for a few things here and there or a fix in the moment nothing compares to this thing as far as solder suckers go. Have used a few of them to do tasks such as desolder an entire keyboards switches and this by far is the best one I have ever used. Take care of it and it will last a long time.

I have used many desolder tool over the years. This one by far has the most quality construction. Lot of suction and the flexible nozzle allows greater contact with molten solder. The plunger also cleans out what was sucked before very very effectively. Unlike what it says in description, the unit I received is made in Japan not China and it shows up in quality too. My only issue is that it is smaller in size than the ones I am used to. My natural grab posture puts one of my fingers very close to the nozzle tip. Maybe it just needs some getting used to. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase and at the price it is a steal.

Ive messed with those cheap 5$ solder plungers and I can never go back. This thing is serious quality and works perfectly as advertised!!

I saw this in Make magazine, and wasnt sure about paying nearly $30 for a solder sucker but picked one up to give it a try. Wow! What a difference over my old cheapo plastic sucker. This is a solid tool, very well made and feels great in your hand. Its even easier to use than the plastic solder suckers as the plunger button is exposed on all sides. The silicone tubing tip is a great idea, and vastly improves the function over rigid plastic tips, allowing you to directly touch the solder to make sure it gets sucked up. It makes me wonder why all solder suckers dont incorporate this design. Extra tubing is included, but so far the tip seems to be holding up well to the heat. Get yourself one of these, you wont be sorry!
