Engineer SS-02 Solder Suction Device

This is the best solder sucker. I had one at work for years without any issues. Recently bought another one for some house work. Make sure you buy some extra tip tubes for future replacement

With some caveats.Feels good in hand,the suction is good.Works pretty decent on 63/37 mix,standard pcb,no hole thru plating.Struggles on bigger components,but makes it easier to finish the removal process.I used 100W soldering iron and high melt solder was no go.Over all worth buying,no miracles on the horizon.Revised after using the device for 5 weeks.As mentioned above,lead free solder is not likely to be removed with this tool.It clogs easily.the plunger cannot be depressed and the center pin coats with melted solder all too often.I have no experience with 6-7$ suckers,so difficult to say how much better this product is.

I love this solder sucker as it does usually remove all of the solder needed in one go and it feels really nice but I do have one main issue almost everytime I remove solder I have to remove the silicone tip to pull solder stuck in the silicone top it seems to like to go into the top of the sucker but also solidify around the opening into the sucker which causes it to be cleaned virtually everytime you use it which definitely makes it an annoying tool to use I may be using it wrong if I am just let me know

Solid build. Strong suction. The rubber bit at the tip tore a little sooner than Id like, but overall build quality is great!

Product seems good. Bought wrong size but I will find some use for them.

I used this to successfully replace capacitors on a vintage computer. It worked great--a much cheaper alternative to an expensive de-soldering tool. For occasional work, this is a better solution.

Way better than those cheap ones you get in cheap soldering sets. Works like a charm!

This has to be the best desoldering tool ever. The other ones I have used are cheap and fall apart.
