> 24 hourI had a roof leak and water got into my toolbox. By the time I saw the leak, quite a few of my tools had rusted. I threw some away that I thought were too far gone and used this on the rest. I just let it sit for 2 days. It might not have taken that long. I didnt check earlier. But, when I pulled them out, the rust was gone. ALL OF IT. There is a black residue on some tools depending on how much rust and how much carbon is in the steel. The black comes off if it bothers you. From what I have read, it is just carbon being left by the process. It makes me wonder if a couple of the tools that I tossed because I thought they were too far gone would have been restorable.

> 24 hourThis product works well but it take time even with light rust (48 hours or longer) be sure to rinse with soap and water. I use plastic gloves just to be safe.

> 24 hourI bought this to remove the rust out of an old motorcycle tank that was extremely rusted on the inside. I did a lot of reading online about different ways to remove the rust and found that there were many different way to do it. Out of all the ways using Evapo-rust sounded like the easiest. I bought to gallons of the stuff and filled up part of my tank and let it sit overnight. The next morn I flipped the tank to clean the other half of the thank and let it set overnight again. Then I dumped out the liquid and looked in side. What I saw in the tank blew my mind. There was no rust left at all! It made me wish I took a picture of the before and after. This tank had been sitting for over 30 years and was solid rust on the inside but now looks almost new. It makes me want to start a tank restoration service. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone wanting to clean the rust out of their bike tank!

> 24 hourMy basement was flooded during a flood, had tools in the water for many weeks. They were rusty, nasty, and I thought I would have to buy new tools. NO I did not. This stuff works amazingly. heavily rusted items I left in over night, and the next morning were free and clear of rust, and gunk. The wonderful thing is that you can reuse this over and over and over. I did more than 100 tools just from this gallon, and all came out spotless. Then you just pour it back into the container and use again. Best purchase I have ever made.

> 24 hourI found it does convert rust into a protective coating, sometimes with a small bit of scrubbing and several long soaks.. It washes off easily with water, but it is best used for dipping. Nothing has been returned to shiny metal, but maybe I have to do more testing. I am trying now to use it by applying dipped paper towels for objects which cannot be dipped as they suggest. It is reusable.
