Stuff works like magic. Cleaned the rusted tanks on my generator and yard tractor. Highly recommend this stuff.

I have a gas tank that had significant rust in it. There would have been no way to cover up this rust acceptably or easily remove it. After emptying the tank of old gas and letting it dry in the sun I filled it with 2 gallons of this product. As the name says in 2 days the rust had evaporated and was gone. The tank looks like brand new. I rinsed out this product with plain water and again let it dry in the sun. Once gas was back in the tank the rust could not return. Getting a new tank would have been difficult or very costly for this antique. The cost of this product was worth every penny and saved me tons of time and money. I highly recommend this product. It will evaporate your rust problems.

This stuff is awesome. a man gave me a bucket of rusty tools. I used this product on them. Just poured it in a bucket dropped in tools. next day no rust. just wiped them off and placed them with my other tools. I had to use at least 4 times because of the amount of tools I had to clean. Worked great every time. Did not hurt rubber and plastic handles. Also frozen tools loosen up. Love this stuff. If you got rust you will love it too.

I still do electrolysis for heavier situations, but if youre refurbishing stuff, its so easy to throw the small parts into Evapo-Rust and have them ready to go the next day.

Best way to remove rust from tools I have found. Only drawback is that it leaves a dark grey film - it is fairly easy to remove though.

Got some of this stuff as a trial from a car show, then decided to get this stuff in bulk. Honestly, if you have small rusty widgets, just toss them in and let them sit overnight, and bam you’ve got some rust free bolts or what have you. Very happy with this stuff!

I used this on the parts of an old jack plane I picked up at a consignment store. The thing was very rusty, and the sole was pitted*. Soaking overnight in Evaporust removed all of the rust. It doesnt make the iron and steel bright silver; you have to sand it for that, if you want it. You can filter the solids out of the used liquid and pour that back into the container. NOTE: Its described here as non-toxic, and Adam Savage goes on at length in his video about how innocuous it is, but the bottle I got has a prominent warning on the back (see the picture here) saying it can cause skin and eye irritation, and recommending protective gear. So you know. * I used some metal-repair epoxy (like J-B Weld) to fill the pits in the iron of the sole. After sanding it flat, it works fine. Doesnt make it valuable as an antique, because you can see the epoxied places, but Im going to use it, not sell it.

This product is great. Soak your rusty parts for about an hour at a time and rub with scotch Brite to remove loosened rust. Dont go much more than 24-48 hours or it will etch the steel. For large surfaces like the top of an old table saw, cover the surface with paper towels. Dont let them hang party the edge in order to keep it from dropping on the ground. Moisten the towels with this stuff and re-wet every do often. Flatten air bubbles out it will leave rust beneath them.

I used this to de-rust a motorcycle gas tank. Worked like a charm after letting it stand for several days.
