Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

When I initially bought this, my gecko refused to use it. I thought it was because she just didnt want to use it. It wasnt until I swapped the moss for damp paper towels when she used it almost all the time! I even got a perfect shed from my gecko, which is something that never happened before I swapped to paper. While its a bit pricey, Im at least satisfied with the natural look. If youre willing to put down the money for it, and maybe experiment with substrate, you might just come away with a great humid hide.

My Leopard Gecko loves this cave! Its his favorite place to sleep during the day because its cool and dark. The opening is a little bit small, but he doesnt have to squeeze or anything. Its perfect in my 10 gallon.

I use this hide for my African Fat Tail. I put sphagnum moss in it and mist it down once a day. He loves it for his humid hide. No issues with shedding.

I use this for my leopard geckos moist hide and she loves it! Shes in there alot!

This is a fantastic hide. We threw a little moss inside and our lizard loves it!!! Super easy to clean. Happy that the top comes off so we can clean and change the moss easily.

This is a great hide for a small lizard. it is sturdy, easy to clean, and it looks great in the tank. I used this for a leopard gecko but she quickly outgrew it. I had to switch her over to the next size up before long. I would recommend the next size up for an adult leopard gecko or anything larger than that.

Absolutely pleased with this purchase. I wasn’t expecting it to be as big as it is! This is an exceptional cave hide for the price! I took a side by side view of our original store bought hide that was close to the same price of this one! Our leopard gecko is already checking out his new decor and has found himself a new favorite chill spot.

Im actually using this for a juvenile rosy boa rather than a gecko, but it works great for him. Most of the time I dont use the bottom of the hide, but its nice to have it available to use if I want to make him a moist hide during shedding without getting his bedding damp.

It is as expected, but the entrance is a little small for my leopard gecko. I think he will use it more when I can put the bottom on. (Im waiting for my warm hide to come in so I can get rid of the blue container and use this for the moist hide.)
