Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

Awesome cave hide for medium lizards and small snakes. My gecko didnt appreciate it so much as a moist hide, but when I passed it along to my young ball python, he basically lived in it (until he outgrew it, and the poor guy is still not happy that I had to take his cave). Its got a couple holes in it from packaging, but its no big deal. The hide is still very dark, and those holes can easily be covered if its an issue. Overall, its sturdy and well-made, and the right reptile will thoroughly enjoy it.

I use this as a moist hide for my gecko, and he loves it! This is very durable, sturdy, and a great value for the money. I got the medium size, and it is just right for my young leopard gecko. If you have a larger reptile, I would get a larger size. This item shipped and was delivered quickly. I am very happy with my purchase.

My Leo loves this hide so much. She has 2 other hides but made this one her full time hide. It provides her the perfect privacy and it’ll come in handy when she’s in shed. It’s pretty big and heavy.

Very nice hide, but the medium was too small for my leopard gecko. I think he may be considered a giant; he is 10 inches long and not quite a year old. He was interested, but apparently thought the hole was too small to crawl through (which it probably was), so I am returning and exchanging for a large. The resin this is made out of seems like it will conduct heat from a heat mat quite well, so I am looking forward to seeing how my boy likes the large one as a moist hide!

I have several leopard geckos but one specifically had shedding problems. After introducing this cave she has been having an easy time with the shedding process with minimal help. Her sister also loves it. It’s large enough that both of them can fit inside. I also have a larger leopard gecko and he actually didn’t fit in it very well. So if you have a super morph or bigger try a size or two up.

I love the product. I have one for my other leopard gecko and he loves it. However I am not please with the packing of the item for shipment. There was nothing in the box to cushion the product during shipment and it broke in transit.

My leopard gecko loves this and spends most of his time in this hide. His last humid hide was a little too small for him and had a heavy lid that I was afraid I might drop. This one is good because I can tell he’s in it without having to open it and he has room to turn around or lay a little more spread out if he wants.

Geckos love it. They all decide sleeping in this hide together. Everyday for two month already. Despite there are many other hides available next to it. They just love this hide I don’t know why. Picture taken two month apart explains itself. They grow and still love it.

When I initially bought this, my gecko refused to use it. I thought it was because she just didnt want to use it. It wasnt until I swapped the moss for damp paper towels when she used it almost all the time! I even got a perfect shed from my gecko, which is something that never happened before I swapped to paper. While its a bit pricey, Im at least satisfied with the natural look. If youre willing to put down the money for it, and maybe experiment with substrate, you might just come away with a great humid hide.
