Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

My gecko loves it

I keep a couple CCGs communally, and even with a ton of tank space and multiple hides, they all cram into this thing. It can fit probably 3 at a time. They love how dark and, well, cavey it is. Might buy another one.

This was too small for my leopard gecko.

I got the large and it was a little bigger then expected but works just fine. It’s 2 pieces so it’s super easy cleaning which is a plus. The colors match the setup I have. Really heavy and durable. Overall a great product. Would recommend to anyone.

Exactly what I expected! I have a sub adult Normal Leopard gecko (Emphasizing the word normal because often times in reviews no one specifies that, and we are in 2016 and there are many morphs of Leopard Geckos now such as Giant and Super Giant Leopard Gecko which are far more heavier, bigger and longer, and should be specified that a different morph size wouldnt fit into a medium sized Gecko Cave by this brand.) anyway, he fits through the entrance perfectly with more than enough space and on the inside of course there is a lot of space and its very cozy for him since Im using it as his Moist hide, its perfect for applying a small handful of Eco Earth inside and misting it with water for humidity. Helps to provide aid for shedding, he also gets to choose between this moist hide and the warm hide on the warm side which has NO Eco Earth. It looks very natural and Im one who loves mimicking their natural habitat and making it look as real as possible. I must note that there were little holes in it because of the the strings attached to the cave and the box but if youre using this as a normal cave it is fine but if youre using as a moist hide like I am and applying Eco Earth, what I did was put two small pieces of clear scotch tape in each little hole and thats it. Good to go. Thats just so little dirt particles dont get through. Thank You Amazon!

Pretty good and my gecko loves to hide in it and contains moisture really well(I use it as a moist hide) only downside is that the packaging it came it had like clips grabbing onto the hide so it has 2 holes now.

This hide was a lot smaller on the inside than expected. The plate on the bottom has ridges that take up space on the inside, so the outer dimensions are not a great indication of the size. My juvenile leopard gecko fits in here just barely. Otherwise, it is great as a humid hide because it retains humidity and theres no mess.

Several pieces were broken off so Im deducting a star. I might use aquarium putty to stick it back together. Ill update after a while to see if my leopard gecko likes it. Edit: I used putty to fix the hole. My leopard gecko seems to feel very comfortable in this cave. I used to wet moss to make it a humid hide. It is very roomy and hell definitely be able to grow into it

Ive been using this for a few weeks now as a moist hide and its the best. Its pretty big so if you have a 12 wide tank its going to take up a big chunk and I would advise you to get the medium. I honestly might get the medium myself to save some surface area of the tank. Nevertheless this is a great product made by a great company.

the only problem is my juvenile leopard gecko couldnt fit through the cave opening I assumed the medium size would work for a gecko that is only 7 months old but she could barely fit her head through and definitely couldnt climb through so I used my Dremel to open up the hole to about double the size and she goes in no problem now other than that I have no complaints so I will be taking off 1 star if the hole was bigger to begin with it would be a 5 star for me easy
