Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

If you have a leopard gecko. I say definitely buy the large size. I have a adult female leo and she is not a very huge female like some females can get and not big like the males can get and I think the large gives her enough room to be able to lay out however she wants. I kept debating between medium and large and went with my gut on large. And glad I did bc now I feel the medium would have been a bit cramped. Even though she may have still been fine with it. Also I have a 30 inch long tank. 12 inches wide. 18 high. And the rock dont seem to take up too much room. Seems to be a good ratio between all 3 of her hides compared to size tank. I added the pictures hoping they would help out since it wont too many by others really giving you a good idea of lizard to rock size ratio and tank to rock size ratio. So I hope they help!

I used this hide for an adult female african fat tailed gecko and it is perfect for her! I use it as her humid hide and its great for filling with moss or wet paper towels. Ever since I put this in there, she wont even touch her other hides unless Im cleaning this one, and Ill definitely be ordering more soon for my other gecko! Just wish they came in more colors for some variety.

I got a small because based on other reviews it seemed like a decent size. So I ordered a small for my still very shy snake who didn’t have a closed off hide like this. She’s a baby cornsnake and just barley fits in it but seems to LOVE it. I’ll have to upgrade her to a large or find on specifically for snakes soon though with sucks because like I said. I thought it would be bigger and she will outgrow it in no time

This hide blends perfectly into a natural terrarium, is spacious enough to allow for growth, and provides a convenient way to provide a moist hide for shedding times. I worried that it would be too large for a 10g tank, but the back right corner of the rock is mildly squared off and fits neatly into that corner of the tank. My leopard gecko is 5 months old, and this gives him plenty of room to grow. Nice to know there are larger sizes, if needed, and smaller, if I ever have hatchlings. Rinse and wipe before using, of course, and keep on the cool side of the hab to prevent cracking, particularly if you use it for a humid hide.

This is a great hide for a small lizard. it is sturdy, easy to clean, and it looks great in the tank. I used this for a leopard gecko but she quickly outgrew it. I had to switch her over to the next size up before long. I would recommend the next size up for an adult leopard gecko or anything larger than that.
