> 3 dayWe love this product as does our gecko! We have a juvenile albino leopard gecko. When we first got him he was having difficulty shedding on his own. We purchased this item for his moist hide and it works wonders! He loves going in there and every time he sheds now he no longer has difficulty! We put moss inside ours and everyday we mist inside the rock. I love how it comes apart makes adding the miss and daily misting so easy.

> 3 dayThe quality is very nice however as the other reviews have stated, this is a very small item. If you plan on having geckos to adulthood or breeding purposes, do not get the small, go for the medium or even large. If you put moss or dirt inside the small, it leaves very little room inside for nesting. Not to mention the small cave has a Quarter Size opening, which most leopard or crested geckos heads get that size when big enough to breed. Overall, the small is REALLY SMALL, so for most geckos I would recommend the medium at least.

> 3 dayFirst off, my gecko is a full grown, 14 year old male. Hes recently been having trouble lifting his back legs, and its most likely the beginning stages of metabolic bone disease (common in some reptiles, but can be prevented with proper care). I used to have a Zilla Medium Rock Layer for him, but that was way too small and cramped for a full grown gecko. And I honestly believe that the Zilla moist hide I was using before is part of what caused my geckos back problems too. This Exo Terra Cave is perfect for a COOL, MOIST hide! And its spacious inside for my gecko to turn around without hurting himself! If you use it as a moist hide, just be sure to spritz it often as the moisture will evaporate eventually. Its essential to have 2 caves for leopard geckos, one moist and cool, and one dry and warm. This one traps in moisture so its good. Dont recommend using it for a warm hide though because if you use a heat mat under the tank, it wont heat all the way through the tank, the substrate, and then the bottom of this cave too so it wouldnt get warm enough. I love this brand (Exo Terra) because their items are smooth (no sharp edges to file down, nothing to hurt your pets), easy to clean, and the shape of them is very well thought out so that these caves will be perfect for any reptile, amphibian, etc. The lid as shown is detachable for easy cleaning, and easy to spray to keep moist. The Pop Socket in the picture is for size reference. The entry hole is big enough for a leopard gecko and similar sized species. I wouldnt recommend for a ball python or snakes of that size because the entry is an O and the snake may get stuck if it is too big to fit through the hole. Could probably DIY and take off the bottom part of the entry though if youre careful. Sphagnum Moss is better for this cave, but Im all out so using moist paper towels for now. Its awesome, highly recommend it!

> 3 dayMy adult leopard gecko is 17 years old and has refused to use a moist hide his whole life. Last shed was difficult though so I thought Id try once again and buy this instead! Jinx went in, and didnt want to come out haha! There is still hope! He LOVES this thing! Im in shock!! Well done Exo Terra!! I use damp paper towel for the substrate since theres no risk of impaction and spray it everyday. I replace the paper towel every 2 days to keep it very clean since your dealing with moisture. The two holes you see in my photos are where the hide was fastened to the cardboard box but you can just fill the holes with putty like wall tack (its blue or yellow) to help lock in moisture. No biggy! It has some weight to it so your gecko wont tip it over. I was concerned since Jinx has some balance issues and vision difficulties but I can be certain this thing wont tip. I think the Large Cave is perfect for an adult leopard, possibly two. So happy I made the purchase! Thank you Exo Terra! @secretlifeofjinx LOVES it!! ....P.S. the packing was excellent as well! They wrapped the cave in two layers of big bubble wrap!

> 3 dayI was nervous that my giant leopard gecko wouldnt fit but when it arrived it worked perfectly. Plenty of room for moss and a small lip on the bottom half that keeps water refills for the moss from dripping over into the tank. My baby took a bit to check it out and go in but hes spent a large portion of his time in it since. I would definitely purchase again if I get another gecko. <3

> 3 daySmall: Use for hatchling leopard/fat-tailed geckos (they will outgrow these extremely fast, so many not be worth the investment). Medium: Use for juvie leopard/fat-tailed geckos or adults (there are some that are simply too big to squeeze into the hole). Large: Use for adult leopard/fat-tailed geckos (generally big enough to house 2 adults comfortably). These make wonderful dry or humid hides. Comes with top and bottom pieces. Ive received some that dont fit perfectly with each other. Amazon is pretty generous with accepting returns so you can order another which will hopefully have a more snug fit. Only issue I have with these are the tiny holes on the sides that may let in a small amount of light. Very easy to wash, this will be one of the best hides you can find for sell on Amazon!

> 3 dayeveryone who owns a gecko should get one of these! Ive had it for a while now and my leopard gecko literally loved it from the minute I put it in with him! He spends a lot of time in it and it makes for a great moist hide. I put moss in it and spray with water and it helps ease his shedding and I can tell it makes it a much more comfortable process for him.
