Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

Exactly what I was looking for in a moist hide for my leopard gecko. He loves it. Got the large size so he had plenty if room to move around.

I bought this to act as a moist hide when she goes into shed. Thats because the top comes off and there is a solid base that you can lay some moss on and mist it. The air in the winter gets awful dry. And with this hide, she had a complete shed. Trouble is I cant get her out of it now :). The medium size allows her to feel very secure and she fills it up. My girl is 32 inches in length. But she gets in there and coils up snug.

It’s cute but way too small for any reptile I can think of unless it’s a baby. Order a larger one.

This is an awesome hide. Its looks amazing. Its durable and most importantly, my leopard gecko loves it. I put in some wet paper towel and Nacho moved right in. Its a perfect size for an adult leopard gecko. Hes a big boy and takes up most of the hide when sprawled. I bought a second one for my female leopard gecko who is in another tank and she took to it immediately. Well worth the $30. Once my baby leopard gecko out grows his take out food container humid hide, I will be purchasing another one. Exo Terra rocks! (No pun intended).

It’s not as deep as I’d like it to be but it still does it’s intended job. My leopard gecko loves it. I bought a medium but due to the size of the entrance hole, he might need upgraded to a large when he gets bigger. A medium fits well in a 10 gallon tank. It works well as a humid hide for my Blu. Two months later, this is Blu’s favorite hide! It is used as his humid hide. He is just about done growing and still fits in the medium I bought perfectly. I’ll definitely be thinking of purchasing two more of these hides if I get a 25 gallon tank for two female leopard geckos. Over a year later, Blu is full grown and has been upgraded to a 20 gallon. I got him a different bigger hide from Petsmart. He still likes this hide, but he barely fits in it. He’s just a normal LG, so if you have a chunky, giant, or super giant LG a medium will be too small.

I recently upgraded my leopard geckos terrarium and this has made for the perfect humid hide. There are a lot of questions/comments about size....if you have an adult leopard gecko, get the large. This has been one of my favorite purchases for my leo and she loves it too!

This hide was a great buy! I actually use it as a warm hide for my gecko dotty, I don’t use the bottom piece. The hide is right over her heat pad . She had a log hide but I didn’t like how she couldn’t have a dark warm place. Also she had trouble catching her crickets and this has helped her hunting a lot I let a few crickets go in her rock hide and she catches them all. She has been much happier with this as her warm hide. It’s expensive but totally worth it. She is warm happy and much more interested in hunting her food! I would recommend for a wet or warm hide!

The large hide is perfect as a moist hide for our large (90g) leopard gecko. I was afraid the opening would be tight but there is plenty of room and shes a big girl. Plenty of room inside allows her to stand up and turn around in it very comfortably. A damp paper towel in the bottom makes this the perfect moist hide and she spends her days snuggled up in here. Highly reccomend!

So this did come with a very minor crack right at the opening bit but it doesn’t affect the usability of the cave. I could very easily just put some silicone over it and problem solved. My gecko absolutely loves this hide!

My medium Exo Terra Gecko Cave came in yesterday. I washed it and placed it into my leopard geckos tank and thats all she wrote! My adult leopard gecko has enjoyed this hide greatly since. Shes a normal, average sized leopard gecko so the medium cave is just fine for her. The opening of the cave could stand to be a little bigger but nonetheless it is well built and sturdy. I made this a humid hide for her as I was using a homemade tupperware one she rarely used. I wanted something that would help her shed better and that she would hopefully use often. The photos speak for themselves!! Great product.
