> 3 dayMy two juvenile leopard geckos fit inside the large size with plenty of room to grow. I am using it as a moist hide, with moss in the bottom. The top helps keep humidity in, and provides the security & comfort. The inside bottom piece is shallow with a lip all the way around that can hold a small amount of water, I use it this way so that the moss stays damp while they are shedding. The outside bottom is curved and for the most part prevents crickets from climbing in. The only negatives were that it is not tan, but more of a strange olive-brown color. It doesnt match my desert decor very well. It is odd shaped & doesnt really fit against the wall or in the corner, so its just awkwardly placed in the tank. Overall, it serves the intended purpose well, so that earns some stars, but loses two stars in my personal opinion due to the color/appearance/design. This would look fine in a woodland set up, or if you really dont care what it looks like. It is a solid piece and a good purchase. My geckos seem to enjoy it and the privacy it gives.

> 3 dayMy on going quest to provide the proper hide for a young Ball python. This hide seems to fulfill the requirements for both security and humidity. The top is large enough to not get pushed off and the hole is large enough to provide air circulation. The base is shallow and limits the amount of substrate you can put inside. more frequent dampening of the substrate may be required if using this hide. Though this is also subject to your particular climate. Please note, Im not using this for geckos as the product was original designed.

> 3 dayMy little gecko likes his humid hide. It took him a few days before he went inside, but now he’s sitting in there looking happy. It’s easy to open the top and looks super natural in my tank.

Greater than one weekSmall is the perfect size for a small gecko. The exterior looks good, very rock like though a bit shiny. I like that it has a top and base, so it is easy to clean. The drilled holes for holding it in the packaging are a bit annoying, but could be filled. And it has very good weight - heavier than expected. Two thumbs up so far. :)

> 3 dayeveryone who owns a gecko should get one of these! Ive had it for a while now and my leopard gecko literally loved it from the minute I put it in with him! He spends a lot of time in it and it makes for a great moist hide. I put moss in it and spray with water and it helps ease his shedding and I can tell it makes it a much more comfortable process for him.

> 3 dayIt’s cute but way too small for any reptile I can think of unless it’s a baby. Order a larger one.

> 3 dayI got the medium size for my Leo who is about a year old. Although the entrance seems small, she has no issues getting in or out and is able to easily turn around inside. I did end up turning mine upside down so that I could fit more substrate with less mess. My leo loved it immediately and if she’s not out exploring or warming up she’s dozing away the day in here .

> 3 dayThe quality is very nice however as the other reviews have stated, this is a very small item. If you plan on having geckos to adulthood or breeding purposes, do not get the small, go for the medium or even large. If you put moss or dirt inside the small, it leaves very little room inside for nesting. Not to mention the small cave has a Quarter Size opening, which most leopard or crested geckos heads get that size when big enough to breed. Overall, the small is REALLY SMALL, so for most geckos I would recommend the medium at least.
