Love this game so much. I used to play it in elementary and I had to find it and buy it

Super fun to play with a little mystery, strategy and luck.

One of our favorite games - playing with 5, 7 and 9 year olds. Wanted a game to reinforce simple math while being fun and this is it. A game even the adults enjoy playing with the kids. Good quality cards and sturdy box.

I bought this game for my 5-year old, not realizing that its recommended for 6+ ages. But you can scale this game from easy to diffcult. We play the version, where you keep two cards face up and two face down. She loves playing the game. She hasnt started fully strategizing yet, but has begun to understand that you dont always need zeros to win. I have noticed that she has gotten a bit quicker with additions as well. Its also helps to demonstrate to her that you add up to a number like 10 in many different ways (basic building blocks of math), all while she is having fun. Definitely recommend it for every Kindergartner out there.

Just got this game for my son’s Easter basket. The my son and the adults enjoyed it! The instruction have a suggestion to play a certain way with younger kids which was great for my 5 year old. Definitely recommend this game!

Too many rules for such a young age. Did not get very far with interest concerning my 6 year old Granddaughter. Will save for later and then try again,.

Would give it 10 stars if I could. Purchased this card game 3 years ago when my grandson was just 5, we are still playing and having great fun. It is simple and fun, children learn how to count while having to remember which cards are where. Cant say enough great things about Rat-a-tat Cat, its really more than a game its a learning tool for kids, and helps us all to remember.

This game is fun to play. We have played it with friends before but actually bought it for our 9 year old granddaughter and she caught on real quick. Not over priced. The memory part is challanging but lots of laughs too!

It"s never too early to develop a good poker face. With Rat-a-Tat Cat, a poker face is just one of the skills players need to perfect. As in poker, luck, skill, strategy, and intuition each play a part. Players are dealt four cards, which are kept face- down, except for a quick peek at two of them. Each player in turn pulls a card from the draw pile to replace one of the four. Memory is important, as the object is to end with the lowest score, and players must keep track of the values on their four cards. "Peek," "Swap," and "Draw Two" Power cards turn up occasionally, allowing players to maneuver and strategize further. Delightfully witty pictures of cats (the good guys--low points) and rats (bad guys--high points) illustrate each of the 54 cards. Young card sharks will develop a sense of timing and greater ease with numbers, and can begin to grasp the concept of probability. Winner of Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Best Toy Award and the 1996 Mensa Best New Mind Game. For 2 to 6 players. --Emilie Coulter
