If the sun was shining on my old lights the door would not close now it does no matter what.

Our older Genie Promax PCG650 garage door opener was not shutting properly. It would often times stop closing and reverse as if the safety beam was blocked and there was an object under the door- even when there was no object blocking the beam. I spoke to Genie customer service and they helped troubleshoot my problem. I almost purchased a whole new garage door opener and then decided I would order this product. I believe that the plastic eye deteriorated over time to the point where the system realized it was blocked. Quick easy fix to replace the sensors and my garage door opener works great again. Cheap easy fix.
