> 3 dayI had a dead safety sensor for my older (27 yrs) Overhead Door Legacy 496CD garage door opener. Replacement OEM sensors were $170, but these worked perfectly fine and fixed my problem.

> 3 dayworked as advertized! I was skeptical about them working with a 15 year old genie system but they worked fine

Greater than one weekBe sure to check with the seller to make sure that they will truly ship the complete kit. I checked with my choice of seller first and they quickly confirmed that they ship the full kit. I needed the brackets because the new electric eyes will not fit on some of the older brackets. Also be advised that the brackets may need to be mounted in a slightly different place due to the way the electric eyes are installed on the new brackets. I did have to add a 2x2 piece of wood on one side of my garage door to mount one of the brackets on because otherwise I would have been trying to mount on sheetrock with no stud behind it. Although my kit included new wiring, I was able to use the existing wiring just fine.

> 3 dayI have a genie ProMax system close to 10 years old. One day, pressing the close button only made the door move a foot before it re-opened, as if there was something in the way of the safety beam. I did all the suggestions on the internet, like cleaning the lens or re-aligning it, unplugging the opener. Nothing worked. The red sensor was blinking 4 times, then pause, then repeat the 4 blinks. The troubleshooting guide said to call customer service for 4 blinks. I was told that it probably needs to be replaced, even though sensors usually last 10-15 years. I removed the old ones and installed these, keeping the old wire. These dont come with new wires. They worked instantly. Customer service told me Genie only sells one model of sensors for almost all their recent residential openers. One thing that bothered me was that supposedly the sensors can slide off the bracket for easier installation. I couldnt slide them off but installation wasnt much harder anyway.
