I was about to replace safety beams, but in reading this 1st review got good advice. I unplugged operator for 15 seconds, replugged it in, which apparently reset the beams. IT WORKED. I think problem came from bad electric storm last PM.

Our sensors stopped working and when the sun was setting in the afternoon it would blind one of the sensors and the garage door would not close in the late afternoon when sun light was shining directly into the sensors These new ones cured The problem and work great

I was having a problem with the garage door sender blinking red. The garage door wouldn’t go down and the sensors looked old. After some research online I found that sun will reflect off the eye causing the garage door to malfunction in thinking there is an object in the way. I though for $33 I’d install new sensors before calling a service tech and paying the $150 fee. Found this set on amazon (I have the Genie Accelerator) but these sensors fit other makes as well. They came the very next day, packaging and instructions were clear and install time with right tools was about 20 minutes. I plugged the garage door opener back in and worked as advertised. I would recommend this product.

Did your garage door all of sudden stop closing at certain times of the day when the sunlight is hitting the sensor? Mine did. Opener worked fine for years. I switched the sensors from right to left and that seemed to fix the problem but only for a couple months. This appears to be a newer design. The aperture on the sensor is much smaller and my garage door closes like it should. I reused the wall mounted brackets just pulled the plastic sensor off the existing bracket, screwed the wire on to the new sensor. Takes a little force but they do pop off.

I have an old Genie Garage door (28 years old). Install took me about 17 minutes. I had to strip the wires which took me a few minutes. Install was easy and fun when I saw that they both worked. I included a picture of my old safety beams for fun. Great product. It’s nice when things just work and no YouTube how-to videos are required.

I have an animal who lives rent free and is very destructive. He chewed up the red light flashing sensor. Cracked it and tried to eat it, i’m sure. Good replaced one side and worked perfectly! exactly what i needed
