these were relatively easy to install and completely solved a big problem — despite many adjustments, the old Genie beams (installed 20 years ago with the opener system) were often balking the door when there was strong incident light; the new beams do a very good job of rejecting reflections off snow; haven’t yet tested against low-angle sunlight at summer solstice (garage door faces north)

My 20 year old safety beam began acting up when the sun shined on the transmitting beam. This pair of safety beams is wired a little differently but works great. Installation was extremely easy.

These saved me a lot of headaches! I was having trouble with my garage door closing. The sun would hit my old sensors just right and would cause the door to not close about 80% of the time. I tried the toilet paper roll and everything else you can think of. Finally decided to change the sensors to these and I’m glad I did! I put the red one on the side that gets the most direct sunlight and have not had a problem yet. Install takes less than 10 minutes. Very pleased!

Electric surge took out a sensor and the controller board for my opener. This set was perfect for replacing the faulty sensor.
