> 24 hourI recently bought a new trailer and boy is it heavy duty, the wife and I struggled just to raise the ramp and decided we needed some help. I watched many U Tube vids and decided on the Gorilla-Lift system, so glad I did. I ran into two small challenges during my install. 1. I had a 2x2 square tubing upright support to the top rail where the farthest back hole needed to be drilled. I was able to remove the plastic end cap, just drilled through the top tubing, cut the carriage bolt to about 1 and was able to fasten down that way. 2. The front hole was aligned with the fender, but I just drilled through the top tubing, through the fender and the supplied bolt was just barley long enough to reach all the way through to snug up the nut. Shipping was fast, assembly was easy and the results were amazing....simple one hand operation now. I did use all four springs on my trailer and it was just the right amount of tension. Any heavier of a ramp and I believe it would struggle. I highly recommend this product.

> 24 hourThe bolts were too short, had to go buy longer ones, and also was missing one of the pin locking ring that holds the spring in place. So cost me an extra 20 dollars..

> 24 hourWorks as described. I was able to adjust the amount of assist to the tailgate can be lifted with 1 finger. Do note that many trailers have a locking pin or latch that may interfere with the cable. I had to cut my original latch off of my trailer and devise another way to secure the tailgate. But I have something wrong with my back and it was worth it. A friend of mine installed a set on his trailer a few days before me and he also had to modify his latch setup. He also ran into a little issue with one of the mounting bolts of the lift coming out directly into the edge of one of the vertical angle arm sections of the trailer. The problems I ran into are possible on many trailers, but the design of the Gorilla Lift was not at fault. It looks like it will last a long time and the yellow tubes are power coated inside and out so it shouldnt rustsoon like the trailer probably will. Im glad I bought it and installed it. If you cant accurately locate and drill 10 1/2 holes, have someone do this for you who can. Youll be happy when youre done. See my photos of a trailer that has a latch thats in the way. Then see the photo with the cable extended and you can see where to watch for a problem.

> 24 hourThis product is going to save my back over the years to come. I have a very heavy gate on my landscaping trailer and I put it up and down at least 20 times every day. Instead of having to do a squat maneuver to get my gate up, now I flip it up with my foot and the rest of the way I push-up with a finger tip. It is a game changer
