> 24 hourMy husband installed this rather quickly. He watched an installation video before putting this on our trailer. We’re pleased with how slick this works & the ease of how the spring action assists in operating the trailer gate. Well worth the money, too. We received it surprisingly quick with the delivery, too, so that was nice!

> 24 hourLikes - came as a two pack; easy to install, instructions were clear Dislikes - The provided bolts are longer than what I would have selected for mounting to the trailer. Note the bolts are metric thread. I was going to change them out for standards of a shorter size (as my local Lowes does not have a great inventory if any metric). Luckily, I brought a couple of the carriage bolts with me and figured out that on the closest standard thread, the square part of the carriage bolt on the metric bolt is smaller, so standard bolt would not work in the pre-drilled carriage bolt holes on the spring tubes. I stuck with the metric bolts but did change out the longer bolts on the gate end since they were not carriage bolt application. Also, my trailer has a dove tail and the side rails follow that drop so I ended up using spacers to support end closest to gate. No biggie and I knew this going into the purchase. Also, I added some chain link connectors to the trailer and positioned the gate locations a bit higher to allow for some adjustment if the spring wears. There are actually two springs in each tube, and I opted to use both versus trial and error of testing one then another. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

> 24 hourMy trailer gate was very heavy and hard for me to lift. I decided to get the gorilla lift to save my back. It was easy to install and works great! No more strained back!

> 24 hourThe directions were pretty easy and it was a quick install. I was not able to get my gate to be completely counter-balanced but the springs take majority of the weight. One modification to the directions is in regards to drilling the holes. I would recommend if you dont have a step bit then start with 1/4 bit then step up to 1/2. Starting right with 1/2 was too much metal to take out at once.

> 24 hourread some reviews and some said one was enough to easily raise and lower your gate, maybe you could sell the other one and reduce the cost of purchase. So with one its like lifting maybe 10 or 15 pounds, a great improvement! But after I installed the second rail its like nothing to lift! You bought it, use both! I looked on you tube along with the instructions and it was relatively simple to install. Remember to use good sharp metal drill bits, I used some cheap ones for the first rail and it took me over two hours to drill the holes! Then I found some titanium tipped bits and was able to drill all the holes in just minutes! Be real careful when you use the half inch bit when you step up to that,it will more than likely grab and the drill can really do you some harm if you dont release it fast enough! I bought some stainless steel eye bolts and S hooks and mounted it directly to the face of the gate instead of the side, seams to be of more direct line with the rail..buy the plastic caps to finish off the job as long as you are buying this..I really do like this product and it works great!
