> 24 hourSalted Caramel GU helped me train for and crush my second marathon! Delicious and sticky with a little salt and caffeine to keep you going. I have a hard time with other flavored gels because the texture is rather gross. Gooey orange? Salty berry? No thanks. The benefit of salted caramel is you expect caramel to be gooey, so its not revolting to eat something flavored like caramel, that has the texture of caramel.

> 24 hourIf you have an emergency leg cramp in the middle of long ride, this stuff literally makes it go away within a minute. I like to take these on long 4-6 hr rides for a sustained energy boost.

> 24 hourI have tried a large variety of GU gels (and similar gels made by other brands) over the course of several years of running. Pro: Like all GU gels, these have a nice, liquidy texture that helps swallowing mid-run easier than some of the stiffer gels (Clif!). Con: The Salted Caramel description suggests a nice balance between sweet and salty, but I found the actual flavor to be overwhelmingly sweet and artificial (relative to other GU gels--they all taste artificial to some degree, of course!), and had an off-puttingly cloying tinge to the flavor.

> 24 hourIn my opinion, this is THE BEST tasting power gel on the market. GU has really hit a homerun with this one. A lot of their fruit flavors are pretty disgusting, and the Espresso is kind of grainy. This salted caramel literally tastes like youre eating straight-up caramel from the sundae bar!! My wife and I run 25-30 miles a week with long runs every week, and weve come to appreciate these quick fuel sources. She generally hates these types of gels, but this is the one flavor and brand that she will actually use. Plus, the added caffeine really helps provide some energy for those last few miles on a long run.

> 24 hourI have tried many other energy gels over the years and none have worked as well as GU. I recently started using GU for my long-distance runs and I love it. It gives me the kick I need and even some caffeine to keep me going. I also really like the Salted Caramel flavor. Because it is an energy gel it has to have salt in it. Sometimes this can taste odd, but with a flavor like Salted Caramel it tastes natural and that is amazing when you are ready for a boost during a workout.
