> 24 hourWhen recently training for a marathon, we picked up a variety pack of Gu flavors. I would eat a different flavor first but I would always get queasy if I had anything other than Vanilla after the first gu. I changed to only vanilla flavor and my stomach was not queasy for the remainder of the training. I have a sugar sensitive stomach and I usually get gut rot when I drink more than 1 lemonade, Gatorade, cocktail...etc. The vanilla flavor was the only flavor that worked for my stomach.

> 24 hourI’ve purchased a lot of GU but wanted to try a new flavor. I was not disappointed with the salted caramel. GU is my go to energy boost before and during any long run and when it tastes good it makes it even better. Love this product!

> 24 hourThis is the best flavor! I have tried every other flavor I could find, and this is the only one that I like the taste of and thats not too sweet for me. There is some caffeine in it, but not enough to upset my bowels, and I am VERY sensitive to caffeine (the GU Roctane has too much caffeine for me). Also, I have Ulcerative Colitis and this has not caused/worsened any flare ups.

> 24 hourGu seems to do a better job on the flavors than some of the other energy gels, and we love the Gu Vanilla! Our boys love them for biking - it really keeps them going on longer rides, and of course they are great for racing because they go down so quickly. The Vanilla (and all the flavors except banana) do have some caffeine from cola nut - the caffeine is 20 mg/packet (about 1/2 serving of Coca Cola), so take that into account if you are avoiding caffeine or dont want the youngsters to have it.

> 24 hourI have tried most flavors of Gu over the past 7 years. I really like many of their varieties and can tolerate almost any flavor. However, once they introduced this salted caramel version, it instantly became my favorite! It truly tastes like a melted version of salted caramels! I was thrilled when GU decided to make it available year-round rather than just one of their seasonal flavors. A year later, its still my favorite!

> 24 hourI have been using them on a few recent long runs and the salty taste is perfect. After a couple of hours on my feet, my stomach cannot handle some of these overly sweet gels, this is where these come in very handy. Finally a gel that actually tastes decent.

> 24 hourHave tried a few GU flavors and this one is a favorite. If you are planning on running 45 minutes or more, you should try taking one 5 minutes before you start and then every 45 minutes thereafter until your done. I PRd a half marathon easily using GU Roctane, but did most of my training miles with this GU. It really does give you a boost (I know by looking at my mile splits and lining up when I took the GU to when my split speed increased). Overall a great product for all distance runners!

> 24 hourThis flavor of GU is the only flavor I like. I do like the vanilla Cliff band as well. It can be difficult finding a gel to like as it is messy, sticky, and a bit thick to swallow. However, I find that this one is not overly sweet and has a pleasant enough flavor that I can swallow it during a race rather quickly. It does help me with not feeling light headed and gives me continue energy. Of course you do need to eat multiple ones during long races/training times.

> 24 hourThe flavor is so good. I use it on my long bike rides and it really does its job. Gives me a steady boost without a hard sugar type crash.
