This stuff worked well to remove some rust from an old Mossberg 500 I own that was bought in the early 70s. Its easy to use, and didnt remove any bluing that I could see.

I use this to stuff wire access holes to keep mice out. They hate the stuff and does not rust. Steel wool rusts and will easily catch on fire. This is stable and will not rust.

Bought this to plug gaps in an exterior wall. 3 little rolls came in the package. I rolled out each one and tore off pieces to stuff in where I needed to. Im hoping this will keep insects and varmit out of the house.

The package shows a well packed solid block of bronze wool. In actuallity the consistancy is that of cotton candy and will not last even a fraction of the amount of work to do. I expected the pads to have the consistancy of an SOS or Brillow pad. Not even close. Not a good value for the money.

I used this stuff to take rust off the barrel of an old Marlin model 60 22LR. It did the trick easily without harming the finish and didnt leave a mess at all. If youre looking to clean rust off of an old firearm, but youre afraid of scratching the finish, then this is the product for you!

I bought this to clean household windows because I noticed that the professionals do use 0000 steel wool, Not bronze wool but steel. However Im not sure what kind (brand) they use but all the seel I have used have rusted within one hour so I switched to this bronze. The Pros told me NOT to push (rub) too hard or you can leave scratches. I finished my parents house and I did notice some scratches however I am not sure if it was me or someone else. The house is 30 years old. My advice is to test a window or two and not the main living room windows, first. This product did not specifically say that its #0000. This troubles me a bit. I would recommend it but not guarantee against any or all scratches. I would call a pro, Im going to, and find out what exactly they use before I buy any more wool.

This was my first time using bronze wool. All my hard-core furniture-building buddies recommend this over steel wool. I normally use 0000 steel wool for rubbing out and smoothing coats of polyurethane but I find the steel wool pads shed lots of metal dust. Bronze wool does, too, though no where near the same amount as steel wool. Lots easier to clean up and a bronze wool pad seems to last longer than a steel wool pad, Id estimate two-to-one. So, its more expensive to purchase but the cost per pad comes down because of the relatively long life of a bronze wool pad. Ill use these again on my next furniture project.

Works very well for polishing metal, but I would suggest using a dust mask when using it. I found that it actually did shed, leaving behind tons of tiny fibers, and you really dont want to breathe them. They caused my asthma to flair up, and an overall inflammatory reaction. Be careful when using.

Pleased with the results, although you need to use only a small amount at a time because is breaks down and crumbles as its used. I used it in place of steel wool after waxing painted furniture with Annie Sloan products with quick, excellent results.
