16-11-2024Bronze wool seems to be better than steel wool in several ways. Highest on my list is good qualities is the fact that bronz wool will not rust. If I decide to leave a ball of this stuff on my bathroom tile I will not come back to a nasty, brown, rust stain. Steel wool will catch fire if it is hit by a flame or spark.

> 3 dayBought this to clean the windshield of my car! Works amazingly well and does not scratch the glass or rust. Clean windows with the wool, windex, dry/polish with crumpled newsprint....

> 3 dayThis wool is more the equivalent of medium grade steel wool, not what I consider as fine. I use it to clean small brass parts after soldering. Seems to flake a lot more than I thought it should. My first time using brass wool.

> 3 dayUse this on some of the metal jewelry that I make. Its very fine and works well, but makes quite a mess so use it outside or over something to collect the fine particles that result. A respirator or dust collector will protect your lungs.

> 3 dayBronze wool is what you want to use instead of steel wool, especially when working with firearms because the bronze is softer than the steel the firearm is made from, so no scratches or rust from pieces of steel wool that break off and are left behind. I used the bronze wool to remove rust and corrosion from the guns and then applied oil to prevent further damage. A single pad lasts quite awhile and this produces really amazing results!

> 3 dayThis is great stuff for cleaning old rubber parts when restoring old cars. Regular steel wool rusts, so any residual wool embedded in the rubber would rust and stain the rubber after cleaning. Bronze wool works great (as does stainless steel wool), but you cant buy it locally anymore because most retailers wont stock it because the crack heads use it to stuff their pipes...

> 3 dayWorks very well for polishing metal, but I would suggest using a dust mask when using it. I found that it actually did shed, leaving behind tons of tiny fibers, and you really dont want to breathe them. They caused my asthma to flair up, and an overall inflammatory reaction. Be careful when using.

> 3 dayThis was perfect to gently remove rust on parts that have a surface finish, like bluing. It also worked well to smooth down any overly textured piece of Cerakoted metal, like a rough edge or a piece that somehow ended up with a noticeable texture from fingerprints.
