> 3 dayWorked well for cleaning rust from metal, but almost too harsh for fine jobs like gun barrels. Any parts not blued or with a fine finish should be safe to be lightly scrubbed to remove burrs and rust.

Greater than one weekUse only this if you do not want any rust to develop on your metal and chrome. Works great to shine up and clean up those chrome bumpers on your classic ride!

> 3 dayThis wool is more the equivalent of medium grade steel wool, not what I consider as fine. I use it to clean small brass parts after soldering. Seems to flake a lot more than I thought it should. My first time using brass wool.

> 3 dayI use these, (along with a solvent), to remove heel marks from my Harley Davidson exhaust pipes.

> 3 dayI use this to stuff wire access holes to keep mice out. They hate the stuff and does not rust. Steel wool rusts and will easily catch on fire. This is stable and will not rust.

> 3 dayUse this on some of the metal jewelry that I make. Its very fine and works well, but makes quite a mess so use it outside or over something to collect the fine particles that result. A respirator or dust collector will protect your lungs.

> 3 dayThe whole point is that it was supposed to remove the rust without damaging the bluing.

> 3 dayBetter than steel wool since it doesnt rust or leave rust marks. So any outdoor place can be used. The mice wont eat through it. This is my third order as Ive used it at the cabin and on the RV. Good for sailboats also. Great stuff!
