> 3 dayExcellent for cleaning Guitar frets, de-glossing fretboards and backs of guitar necks. Unlike steel wool, brass wool is not magnetic, so will not fowl your pickups...no masking required to cleaning fret wires during restring! Be advised, it is Fine but not Super Fine as 0000 Steel Wool, so use very light pressure on wood and poly if de-glossing.

> 3 dayBronze wool seems to be better than steel wool in several ways. Highest on my list is good qualities is the fact that bronz wool will not rust. If I decide to leave a ball of this stuff on my bathroom tile I will not come back to a nasty, brown, rust stain. Steel wool will catch fire if it is hit by a flame or spark.

> 3 dayWorks great for cleaning old tarnished chrome back to a showroom shine! Wish it would last a little longer as it disintegrates in you hand if you are really working with it. Its a little messy but the best option by far,!

16-11-2024Bronze is softer than steel, and bronze wool is softer than steel wool, with the added benefit that it does not rust. My friend uses this fine brass wool wrapped around a small round brass brush with bore cleaner to clean his shotgun barrel after going to the range. It removes the lumps of lead that build up without scratching the barrel.

> 3 dayI used this with oil to remove rust from a WWII Kar 98k bolt. The rust was in the contours under the gas shield where a brush would not reach well. I got the rust easily with a little bit of this and some oil. Did not harm the 70+ year old bluing.

> 3 dayThis wool works well on rusted chrome, especially with some 3m chrome paste. It doesnt scratch like some steel wool can. Only negative is that it it gets used up pretty fast and isnt cheap.

> 3 dayUse this on some of the metal jewelry that I make. Its very fine and works well, but makes quite a mess so use it outside or over something to collect the fine particles that result. A respirator or dust collector will protect your lungs.
