> 3 dayThe 15-dy1036nr is a good laptop at a good price. I think it provides a lot of value. The laptop has an Intel i5 10th gen processor with 4 cores and 8 logical processors. The 10th generation processors include AVX512, which is an impressive instruction set architecture. AVX512 was the reason we purchased the laptop.

> 3 dayAmazing! Pairs with my HP printer seamlessly and walks you through things when you’re starting out! Beautiful display, and love the extended keyboard with the 10-key. Lightweight, but durable. So nice that we bought two more! My husband works on music, I work from home and my son uses his for school!

> 3 dayLoving this new laptop...I had a previous version of HP laptop also. I love the reliability of the machines, the ease of use and the speed. Super purchase. My only negative comment would be that I waited too long to replace my old machine. Thanks HP, keep up the great work of putting out top-of-the-line equipment.

> 3 dayJust wanted to drop a review here saying its super simple to add another 8gb of ram to this notebook. HP provides helpful repair videos on youtube for the DY-1000 series of notebooks that show you how to replace a ram module. If you notice on the video, theres a second, completely empty ram slot beside the one with the 8gb stick that comes from the factory. This laptop supports 16gb of ram (2x8gb sticks), per the support manual from HPs own website. Caution, if you somehow mess it up your warranty may be voided. HP does not recommend you do any sort of upgrades or repairs on this notebook. But, if you want 16gb of ram (and you do) its very easy to upgrade.

18-11-2024I bought this laptop to be solely used as a WFH machine and so far it has not disappointed. Price was a major consideration in my purchase and at $575 I believe you get a lot of value for the buck. This machine is a work horse and the performance is very fast and stable. The keyboard and trackpad are surprisingly decent to use (keyboard not backlit). If speakers are a consideration in your purchase the speakers on this laptop are actually pretty good and the volume is quite loud without getting tinny. Ive read some complaints on the noise of the fan but honestly I think the noise is very low and it runs constantly while Im working and it hasnt bothered me at all. I usually have the laptop plugged in during work so I dont know how long the battery lasts during heavy use. However, the battery seems to drain 10-15% every night while in sleep mode which seems excessive. The only knock I have against the laptop is the display color is not as vibrant as I would like. Its a bit washed out. Its perfectly fine for use with all of my work apps but would be annoying if I was doing a lot of video streaming. Overall, this is a great machine and checks all the boxes I needed for a reliable laptop for work.

> 3 dayThe reviews are not dramatic. I choose to ignore them. The touch screen went out first. Then the whole screen died. Seller did nothing to help. Don’t buy this. Replaced with a dell for the same cost.
