HP 15-dy1036nr 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1, 15.6-Inch FHD Laptop, Natural Silver

Unfortunately, like another reviewer my laptop also has a wifi adapter problem. I spent 1/2 a day with HP trying to troubleshoot and eventually had to wipe the computer and restore to manufacturer settings. That worked for about 8 hours and again the adapter was disabled or corrupted. I was able to find a USB to Ethernet converter so I can connect to the internet - but that then interferes with the reaction time of my wireless mouse and keyboard....plus connecting to the ethernet with a really long chord when working from home is very inconvenient when, you know, I bought a laptop for its portability.

I currently own a MacBook that I have been using for Web Development and graphic Design. At times I will be comparing my experience between my currently MacBook which has some age on it, its from 2016 and still running strong and this laptop.

I love everything about my computer, I have had no problem with it at all, every aspect about it is great. and simple to use. thank you for making this HP.

Update 2020-07-30: This computer features two USB 3 ports on the left hand side. When a Logitech mouse and a Toshiba disk drive are connected to these ports at the same time, one of them becomes intermittent. Usually its the mouse, but today it was the disk drive. At this time the computer is plugged in and charging. I cannot recommend this computer for any application.

Works great just what I needed battery doesn’t seem to hold up as well as I thought it might

has no extra unneeded bells and whistles so it was really affordable especially for the hier tier processor thats in it. i have no problems running the software i need on it. had it for a little over a year now and still using it. the battery life is abyssmal like only 4 hours long, however anytime i use it i can plug it in so that doesnt bother me per say. for the price i paid for it thats absolutely acceptable.

Unfortunately, it has a very short battery life, and the key pad should have been a different color from the laptop body.

Less than 8 months of use and the WiFi module stopped working and there are no drivers on the HP site to update the software. Software support only valid for 30 days after purchase. So HP blames Windows for a botched update. Independent computer tech says there is no fix for the missing wireless software drivers. Now we have an 8 month old laptop that can not connect to the internet. Do not buy HP

Only had the product for about a month or so and the WiFi crashes and indicates it’s not operational. Which really sucks when trying to work from home on a laptop. I did a reset and it worked the 1st time, but not the second time it happened. If I don’t figure out something soon I’ll have to return the product which significantly impedes my work schedule. Due to the WiFi headache, I would not recommend this product.
