05-04-2025Unfortunately, like another reviewer my laptop also has a wifi adapter problem. I spent 1/2 a day with HP trying to troubleshoot and eventually had to wipe the computer and restore to manufacturer settings. That worked for about 8 hours and again the adapter was disabled or corrupted. I was able to find a USB to Ethernet converter so I can connect to the internet - but that then interferes with the reaction time of my wireless mouse and keyboard....plus connecting to the ethernet with a really long chord when working from home is very inconvenient when, you know, I bought a laptop for its portability.

> 3 dayFolks, I have spent HOURS doing tech support with HP, Ive had to buy an ethernet cable adaptor & a flash drive, & still dont have working wifi. In fact, when I first reached out to HP, they informed me that because of how complicated my issue was, basic tech support wasnt going to be able to help - I would have to pay for tech support in spite of having just gotten this laptop. After all this, theyve now told me I have to send the laptop in for repairs, paying for all shipping & repair work. Again - on a laptop that NEVER worked, and that Ive owned less than a month. Ive invested far too much money and time into a laptop that should have worked out of the box. Steer clear.

> 3 dayWe needed a laptop for our son to do distance learning on during this time. It does a great job for what we bought it for. My son has no issues at all using it for his school work.

Greater than one weekI had this laptop in my possession for four days -- just long enough to spend hours and hours and hours on the conversion from my old laptop. And thats when the hard-drive blew up. HP told me they could repair it and return it to me within three weeks of the time that they receive it. Then I guess I could take the chance that their quality would be better the second time around, and I could re-invest hours and hours on the repaired version. No thanks. I have work to do.

> 3 dayat $600 I couldnt ask for more. Great video, great sound, easy to set up and use. Initially there were many programs that I didnt want and would never use that I deleted (easy to delete in settings). Sound and video are excellent for virtual meetings. Adjust sound and video you your needs (in Serrings). Ive read some of the complaints about this laptop crashing, etc. My advice would be to just reboot, update all software (Settings > System), and be patient. Ive read that you can turn this laptop into a touchscreen notebook, but I prefer using a mouse over touchscreen. Excellent laptop that I recommend.
