A faulty water heater is probably the biggest malfunction threat to the fish. This controller not only provides a high degree of accuracy to the water temperature, it acts as a fail safe against heater failure. It makes the whole price a bit more expensive, but well worth it for much better than average temp adjustment and peace of mind. Highly recommended.

I bought this temperature controller for my 150 gallon aquarium, it has been a very good product, I received it with the plastic probe that looks quite resistant and has been very precise, in general, the product quality looks very good, Once you have understood the functions of each parameter, it is very easy to configure, the possibility of setting day / night schedules seems excellent. for the price you pay it is an amazing product

Complex setup to use all the features. Fortionently the defalts worked for my use. Has been working for a few weeks now with no problems.

Pros: Day/night temperature cycle feature of the 306T. Adjustable hysteresis, with separate values for day/night cycle (I have the day set to 2 degree sensitivity, and the night to 1 degree). I like the separate display for current temp (PV = process value) and for set temperature (SV = set value). Cons: Slight buzzing noise at all times which correlates with how many segments are currently illuminated on the LED display -- it is definitely not relay noise, as it remains the same with the load on/off. Strange temperature reading behavior -- it seems to lag behind actual temperature, meaning several minutes can pass without any change in temp readout, then over the course of 10 seconds the temperature readout will increase/decrease by several tenths. Still, on a long-term average it keeps very accurate temps. The instructions can be hard to follow but just stick with the programming flowchart. Overall, given the cost, I am satisfied and I hope it will last a long time and remain accurate. If it blows up, Ill come back and revise my review.

Easy to setup and very accurate. Literally 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit difference from digital thermometer I have. Not sure which one is exactly, but close enough for aquarium.
