> 3 day“I was recommended this temperature controller by a friend, as I had a previous terrible experience with a heater which overheated and caused me to lose a Betta and some other small fish. This amazing device is easy to use and very reliable. It monitors the temperature in my tank and controls how hot the heater gets , and shuts off at the desired point. I now have peace of mind that even if the heater overheats this will shut it down and save my fish. I’m so happy with the Inkbird controller, that I will beordering more for my other tanks, as well. It is easy to use and accurate and make me feel safe. As recommending this to friends. Lastly, I love how user friendly the instructions were and how easy it was to set up.”

> 3 dayPros: Day/night temperature cycle feature of the 306T. Adjustable hysteresis, with separate values for day/night cycle (I have the day set to 2 degree sensitivity, and the night to 1 degree). I like the separate display for current temp (PV = process value) and for set temperature (SV = set value). Cons: Slight buzzing noise at all times which correlates with how many segments are currently illuminated on the LED display -- it is definitely not relay noise, as it remains the same with the load on/off. Strange temperature reading behavior -- it seems to lag behind actual temperature, meaning several minutes can pass without any change in temp readout, then over the course of 10 seconds the temperature readout will increase/decrease by several tenths. Still, on a long-term average it keeps very accurate temps. The instructions can be hard to follow but just stick with the programming flowchart. Overall, given the cost, I am satisfied and I hope it will last a long time and remain accurate. If it blows up, Ill come back and revise my review.

> 3 dayAfter figuring out how to program the temp controller, its worked great! The main displays are the PV and SV. The PV shows the current outside temperature. The SV is what you set the trigger temp to be. When the PV drops below the SV, the controller powers up both plug-ins. Mine is set up in an outside greenhouse, and its kept my plants alive this winter.

> 3 dayAfter 9 months of use in my reef tank I received the dreaded call from home while at work that the tank has an alarm going off. I was able to reset the controller but it failed again after a few hours. I contacted Inkbird about the warrantee and the failure and they said it was most likely the temperature sensor that failed. After a few weeks I received the replacement sensor and it has fixed the issue. My only complaint about the replacement part is they wanted the owner to splice it in. I am a qualified electronics tech so I went a step further and soldered it into the main board. My concern is with customers who dont have the proper means to perform the repair properly. Inkbird should pay for proper repairs when the unit is under warrantee. Update: After a few days the controller failed again and Inkbird quickly sent a replacement. I am giving this model 3 stars due to the issues with warrantee repairs. The customer should never be required to complete repairs.
